About Semi-private yoga, live music events, and retreat experiences. At Vessel, we offer an immersive education in the yogic arts. Story Founded by NYC-based yoga teacher and musician, Michael Hewett, in 2010. Vessel Academy offers the essential ingredient which is missing within the modern education system: how to joyfully and effectively keep attention aligned with intention no matter what obstacles life brings. Learn how to stay open minded and curious on the unending path to make the world a better place. Our curriculum is composed of the best practices from Indian & Tibetan Buddhist & Yogic lineages. We teach how to reach the goals & milestones on the spiritual path using modern, clear explanations & time-tested techniques while honoring that certain practices need to come before others in order to yield successful results. Most importantly, our courses of study are held within a supportive, diverse & conscious community. We are not gurus but witnesses to the efficacy of these teachings & practices. Year after year we've seen the sincere, thoughtful & aspiring efforts of Vessel graduates dramatically increase their sense of purpose & well being while strengthening their communities and bringing to life the power of these profound teachings to the world. Mission Vessel offers an immersive education in the Yogic arts based in the sacred lineages of India & Tibet.
