About Still Waters is an artist-owned retreat center for small groups that want to gather and connect in a private, natural setting. Story We provide peaceful surroundings and artistic, rustic accommodations for groups. Simple and comfortable lodging includes two fully-furnished cottages, a newly renovated main house and an Art & Yoga Studio for workshops and classes. Our facilities for full catering include a large dining room and full kitchen, plus many outdoor spaces for gathering. Still Waters is the place to unplug to enjoy peace among the pines. We're a close, comfortable and local escape from hectic, modern living. Mission Originally founded in 1968 by the LaBossiere family, Still Waters began its new chapter in 2010 with Tao and Amy LaBossiere as the visionaries for this conscious retreat center. In 2014, we launched as a benefit corporation, as soon as that business entity became legal in the state of CT. We welcome holistic and creative groups of all genres that look to enjoy nature, build community and foster learning.
