About A progressive Christian community of faith in the heart of Atlanta where EVERYONE is welcome. Story Virginia-Highland Church is different, on purpose. We are a progressive, welcoming, and diverse congregation that emphasizes community and worship. Members and friends come from various religious backgrounds. Some of us have searched a long time for the sense of belonging we find here because Virginia Highland Church is different, on purpose. In other churches, some Christians have felt that they just did not “fit in.” If you do not like feeling pressured to conform to narrow belief systems and conservative political agendas, Virginia-Highland is the place for you. Every week, when we take Communion, we say, “This is not our table but God’s table, and all of us are welcome at God’s table.” We would love to have you Worship with us any Sunday at 11 a.m. Children's education and nursery available during Sunday School and Worship.
