Ryan has been in charge of my mother's investments for several years. A few years ago, she completed a form that allowed Ryan to meet and speak directly with me about her investments. In January of 2018, the direct deposit of interest from one of my mother's investments stopped. When I reached out to Ryan to inquire, he told me my mother had never completed the form that allowed him to speak to me, even though he had met with me previously, as I indicated. Ryan then said that my mother cannot complete the form (again) because she hasn't talked with his office in two years and she's no longer capable of making decisions for herself. I asked Ryan on what basis he was making that decision since, as he said, he's not spoken to her in two years. He had no answer. So, we're in the process of establishing a POA for my mother, but meanwhile, the interest from her investment is MIA since January. As soon as the POA is in place, my mother's money will be coming out of investments with Edward Jones and going someplace else.
