Tenderloins and onion rings were a little better than average. Chili was a little bit Bland for me. Crinkle fries were basically like the frozen ones but okay. Price was definitely reasonable
Great food all the way around. I got the tenderloin and onion rings. I still think mug and buns onion rings are better. At least Edward's does not use fritters for their tenderloins. The strawberry shake was superb as well.
Great fun restaurant. One orders at a counter at the front of the restaurant then they call a number and you go get your own food. The restaurant could try a table number system so numbers aren’t being called over speakers. Dining area has a free jukebox with tunes from the 1950s. Tenderloin was moist and cooked fresh. Fries were cooked fresh as well and they were hot and crispy.
Edward's Drive-In is now....called...."Happy Days"!! Service and food is excellent and affordable for singles and adults. Lunch menu is historically "Edwards" , and breakfast is very good in this niche! I will be a semi-regular customer!Food: 5/5
I don't particularly care for fritter style tenderloins but we actually stopped in because we knew they offered hot dogs for my grandson. I mostly prefer a thicker style tenderloin. To each their own. I opted for the grilled tenderloin this time. It tasted like the cook squished all of the juices out of it while cooking. It was dry. I ate it with lots of extra pickles to offset dryness. It was just okay. Nothing special. They were very Covid conscious, I will give them that.
I'm from out of town and someone recommended this restaurant. The onion rings have to be in my top 3 as far as tastes goes. I had never had a tenderloin sandwich. This thing is amazing. The mustard they use at this joint is really good. You can tell their ingredients are fresh/top quality.
Great food. Wonderful staff. Curb service in front with car hops or very large dine in seating. Hot spot for locals. Check web site for car shows at this location. Relaxed atmosphere and comfortable. Super clean and well maintained inside and out. Easy parking. Great jute box plays "oldies". We had breaded tenderloins and onion rings. Delicious!
An amazing restaurant seriously, 10/10...this place was a south side GEM!!!, BUT it's been closed for like a year now. Google just hasn't updated it yet RIP Edwards Drive In...but you can still catch the food truck around the indianapolis area in the spring, summer, and fall
Good food, good service, we came as a family to treat my husband to lunch who works in the area. Our three children had kid's meals, my husband and I had a tenderloin. He had a side of friend mushrooms and I had a side of onion rings. We all had root beer and it was all excellent. I knock off a star only for the portion of mac and cheese with the kid's meals. It's very tiny. About three small fork fulls, and it's Kraft style macaroni and cheese which we were surprised at. Eat curbside if you don't want to smell like fried food all day though! :
I don't even like Rootbeer Floats but theirs is pretty good. You can drive up, park, and not get out of car and they will take your order, and bring it to you. Pretty consistent on food order accuracy and taste. They do charge .89 per bacon strip and I think that is weird you just can't get Bacon Cheese Buger without ordering per strip. The staff is normally polite and good all the times I have came.
