this was an amazing and classic little restaurant. It's hard to believe you would find something like this anywhere near a big city like Indianapolis. Even the grilled cheeses are Epic. This is a fantastic place to go if you are in the neighborhood. My favorite thing is obviously the root beer for which they make extra special with their own personal recipe. Going back will be on my to do list the next time I need to stop in Indy for any reason.

The onion rings are very good and you get a lot of them. The chicken fingers take a little longer but they are worth the wait. They seem to be hand battered like the onion rings. The rootbeer was very tasty but you don't get much for the money you spend. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

It's a really cool 50's style restaurant. They are well known for their tenderloin and root beer. They also have car shows all through out the year. It's a really great place to eat and enjoy a root beer float!

Good food and a nice old-school vibe. Real jukebox in the corner, playing time-appropriate songs on vinyl 45s. The fish sandwich and pork tenderloin are both really good, and you really have to get a frosty mug of root beer!

I had a chili and a grilled cheese sandwich today. The chili was barely lukewarm tasted days old the grilled cheese was gross because the cheese would not melt. The grilled cheese also used to come on Texas toast and it was on plain white bread.. several tables were left dirty for at least an hour during my visit. Also the chili ,,,,, I was charged $0.05 per cracker.. the breaded tenderloin was okay but look like ahead been downsized was quite thin. The onion rings tasted alright but they were cold along with the fries being cold as well. So for $28 was a total waste of money. Now on a positive note the staff was very nice, polite and well-mannered.
