Go to place for Japanese food. They have a more traditional menu that is hand-written, with spicy octopus option for example. Sushi bowls are amazing, tempura and Katsu also are a favorite. Sushis and sashimis are of a good size too. We love the atmosphere, service and quality of the food.
All around disappointed. We tried to order ahead and got a broken phone line. Called 4 times to no avail. Decided to go ahead and order takeout from inside thinking it would be more fresh. The dinner sashimi combo was LAUGHABLE sized cuts. And inconsistent amount. 2 pieces of everything and one extra bite of tuna. Supposed to be 3. The teriyaki salmon was TERRIBLE. Way over cooked and again a ridiculous size. That was a 21$ meal and it barely fed one person. The dragon roll was only 7 pieces not 8. The ginger dressing on the salad was awful. It tasted like it was almost bad but also just not a great recipe. To top it all off when we let them know their phone number didn’t work, they were glad for it and said they didn’t want to answer. I don’t understand how this place got 4.7 stars. It was supremely underwhelming and rather dissatisfactory.
I love this place. we go here every year for my birthday because it's my favorite sushi in Marietta by far!Food: 5/5
This place offers some really authentic Japanese food. They only have one waitress but she is very attentive and nice. Lunch menu prices are really good and it does get a little busy on Friday. I will come back and try more dishes for sure. So glad I discovered this spot!
Ask around for authentic sushi and you’ll hear this name again and again. This tiny neighborhood gem is open for dining after COVID. The fish is well-cut and fresh, the rice well-seasoned, and the sushi well assembled. Customer service and ambience is friendly and comfortable. Note that they don’t serve all the “special rolls” that a lot of places do - simple rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. They do have a generous and varied menu of appetizers, small plates, and entrees that range from salmon to squid and cooked in authentically Japanese fashion. Enjoy!!
Passed by here a couple times but had never gone in to eat. Wish we had sooner because the food was wonderful. We had salted salmon and tempura. Lunch meals were sized much better than most places, with just enough to feel full but not overly stuffed. Only complaint, I’m unsure what oil they use to fry but it gave me horrible indigestion. Usually even fried foods from Japanese restaurants are much more gentle on my stomach than other places.
Amazing authentic Japanese food took me back to my time in Japan, the atmosphere reminded me so much of Japan right down to the bowls and plates used. Not over priced at all for such a true exotic experience. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.Food: 5/5
Used to be great here. Don’t plan on going back. First off they have the most moronic seating and won’t let you sit at half the empty sushi bar and INSIST on framing you into a corner with everyone… no thanks. The sushi is small now and the flavor was missing. Just not the quality it was once. Unfortunate because not many options for sushi in the area.
Mediocre sushi and extremely rude main waitress. As other reviewers mentioned, the main waitress at this restaurant is extremely rude and entitled. My family and I waited almost half an hour to be seated, all while there were two empty tables and bar space that could accommodate us. It turns out, this little hole in the wall takes reservations, and if you’re lucky enough to be a regular, or a friend of the main staff, they’ll hold your table for you while turning away other customers. I have visited this place twice, once before the pandemic and recently. The mediocre food at the high price point isn’t worth the trouble or humiliation.
Fantastic little spot. Great service and reliably good sushi. I would love to see them expand their udon selection, or maybe break into the ramen world — but I can’t complain about this little gem. The smoked salmon roll is a favorite of ours. It’s like eating a lox bagel in the middle of Central Park. A bit of advice, be patient if you’re dining in. It’s a small operation and they do their best but the woman who waits the tables usually does it solo.
