Loved the food! The service was also amazing. The crispy chicken dumplings were delightful, the chicken wings were good, and the japchae was mouth-watering!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Only got to try the fried pork dumplings but they were great. They weren’t overly crispy where it hurt to chew. The sauce was great as well. Looking forward to trying more in the menu.
Homey Korean cuisine in an informal setting with courteous family-run operation.Food: 4/5
Jajangmyeon and fired chicken is the best! Even the salad is special! Plants and family photos on the wall give a homey vibe.
They put the comfort in Korean comfort food. Not only is the food great but the vibe of the place is warm and cozy. It's like sitting down at your favorite relative's home and having lunch or dinner with them. Most of the food here is above $10 but if you don't mind the price, you'll likely love to be here.Food: 5/5
Little ol’ white girl late to the bibimbap party… I could eat this every day of my life. Each ingredient is really fresh, not over-salted, the beef is flavorful and makes the rice taste really good, and there’s a nice side of kimchi to help you digest it all. A perfectly well-balanced, fancy looking, fast meal. Looking forward to trying the other things on the menu such as the japchae which I HAVE had before, and the jajangmyeon which looks delicious and I have definitely not had before. Ejen staff, please don’t judge me if I’m back here ordering the same thing every day for the next two weeks.
A small place and pretty friendly. The food is original and pretty good, but something was missing. Like the spicy bulgogi was not spicy it was actually sweet. The portions are not too big and thus seem a bit overpriced.
can't recommend Ejen enough: great quality and decent portions for the price. recommend any of the bibimbap options, the fried dumplings, and the beef kimbap. the grandparents running the kitchen are also great conversationalists :
I have to say portion is a bit small but the taste of comfort is definitely there especially that crazy tofu. This happens so often with us. There will be no line when we got in then the moment we order, there will be a long line right behind. Good for us I guess. The space is small about table for 20 or so. Probably less if a bunch of parent with strollers and babies. Industry city is packed with them on the weekends. The food is amazing. Tofu is fresh and I love the rice that comes with it. Again portion can be a bit more generous for the Manhattan price. I will complain about the amount of containers and plastic comes with the meal thou. I might actually don't want to eat here cuz of that. I hope they fix that up a bit. I doubt for the soup but for all the dry dishes.
Food Poisoning. I ordered a fried Tilapia with rice, salad, and kimchi and got a major food positioning with severe diarrhea within 30 minutesof eating. Can only surmise that the Kimchi which smelled strange thought it was just more fermented was rotten. Really upset! Not to mention that there's no contact info on their website. Will not be back.
