Best Ceviche I have tasted in Ridgewood , Queens -- the vibes were great , esp if you want some music , lounge/club atmosphere for a night out. Weeknd date nights too! I was exhausted otherwise I would of stayed way longer! I'll be back #aroundridgewood #LifeWithJess
It's ok but you can find better. It's decor is not the best. It looks like a run down bar. It's dark and dosen' t look clean. Lots of clutter. Many men drinking and ogling at the waitresses. Which all they can do was look pretty and not provide great customer service. The food is good but it's not great. I had pork chops and they were a little bland. My husband had the encebollado, he was pleased with it. My sons enjoyed the view more than the food. One had steak and the other chicken cutlet both came with rice and beans. Prices are a little expensive. It's not the first place I would choose.
The food is excellent but the service is absolutely awful. Sat for 10 minutes before a waitress came to our table asking if we had ordered yet and they were standing right in front of us eating. Then she dropped off the food and didn't come back until 5 minutes after I had piled the plates on the end of the table. We asked for the check and apparently one lady told the other and in the end we had to get up to get the check from someone at the bar because no one brought to us. Sad thing is that it hasn't been the only time. If their food wasn't so good I would never ever go back there.
I went to eat with my family, my son ordered a Seco de Chivo, and after his third bite, he found a long black hair. I told the waitress, and she took the plate away. When I asked for the bill, they charged me the Seco de Chivo "no problem" that is not the point, and no one even apologized. No manager represents that place. The waitress was not to blame for anything. I am not coming back to "El Manaba" People, please cuidado con los cabellos.....
I bought a caldo de bola to take out. At home I'm looking at it broth and mix vegetables. They forgot to put the plantain ball. I gave them one star because it not the first time they messed up the order.
A bit pricey but the food is great.
$18.99 for an 16 onz. Ceviche??? Yeah right . and they said is because everything is expensive... Last time that i order from here
I find it extremely hard to believe that no one in this establishment speaks English. I called twice because somebody there charged my card for 2 transactions of almost $450 each!!! We will see who speaks English when an attorney shows up at your door. Fraud!!! Fraud fraud!! How can I order food at a restaurant that I am 19 hours away from??? And for almost $900??? Fraud!!!!
First & last time coming to this lounge ! It’s connected to other establishments so instead of them giving their exact address, they give the block’s address. I took an Uber here and couldn’t find it. I ended up having to walk a block by myself close to midnight because I was meeting my friend there. The flier did state that ladies free before 11:30 but because of the thunderstorm, I got there a little after. When i got to the door, I was told that the entry fee is $30. This is Queens, not Manhattan & ladies should NEVER have to pay that much! $10 - $20 max! Then when I got there , I was seated and asked if my friend and I wanted hookah. We agreed and then asked for a menu. The waitress pulled out a folded piece of paper that had the drinks written down along with the prices next to them . On the top, it read 5 different bottles and their prices & then on the bottom it read “drinks $15” but didn’t specify what drinks they had. I asked for a frozen drink, they didn’t have . I asked for a fruity drink, they didn’t have . I asked for Casamigos & the waitress said they only sell the bottle . I asked what drinks she didn’t have in a bottle and she told me so I asked for Don Julio & pineapple juice . She said they don’t have pineapple juice only orange juice & cranberry juice. I didn’t want neither but just went with the cranberry. I asked for a food menu & she laughed then said that the kitchen was closed . This is the first lounge I’ve ever been to in my life where the kitchen closed early. I came here on an empty stomach expecting an appetizer . I went to a lounge in Astoria two weeks ago & was told by the waitress that NY has a state law that requires customers to purchase food with their drinks so I’m surprised that this establishment wouldn’t have food. Now to the dj….there were two dj’s. The first dj was okay but the second was bad. He did not let the songs play!! He’d play a song for a min each and would skip to the next song ! I’m not a dj nor do I aspire to be but as a dj you have to let the songs play especially the good songs that make people want to dance . His music was all over the place for. He went from Fantasia to Pop Smoke to Vybz Kartel to Cardi B to Cassidy to Migos and then to old hip hop songs. It was 2am & at that time , he should’ve been playing twerking music or music to get people to get up and dance . 95% of the people were sitting down & the other 5% were dancing by themselves . There were enough men & women there for the spot to be lit but the dj didn’t make that happen.
The cold and uninviting atmosphere was matched by the cold food and uninviting attitude of our waitress. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Everyone’s food arrived cold. Rice was clearly left over from a previous day. They tried to get around not having one of the dishes we ordered by adding some of the ingredients to a very different dish and claiming it was what we ordered. Waitress kept rubbing her nose while taking our order. Disgusting. There were people so drunk they were practically falling off their stools at the bar at 1 in the afternoon but still being served more drinks. Irresponsible. Food is too expensive to be such a low quality experience.
