El Merengue Restaurant

My first time purchasing here. Went for the roast pork, which I’d had prior from this establishment catering at my workplace. Wanted it for a home birthday celebration and it was a hot! Tasted the tuna macaroni salad too… So delicious! Definitely will be back and highly recommend. The manager s a sweetheart.

This place is awesome!! The waitress are extremely friendly, and attentive. They come to your table frequently to ask if everything is good and to remove any used napkins, utensils etc. I enjoy the music and the staff and dinners so happy all the time. The music is always pumping, but it’s a true Dominican restaurant. This place is “ BOMBA” Licious!!!!

DO NOT USE A DEBT OR CREDIT CARD I had a lot to drink and was charged three times for a valve of 60 dollars drinks. She charge 60, 56 amd 40. She held my card the hold time at the register. Be very careful here. Girls are money hungry

Great spot for food on the go. Buffet is always hot and fresh with the authentic flavor everybody loves. Try the empanadas too, usually 3 kinds to choose from, beef, chicken and cheese, all are flaky, moist and delicious. Desert too, 4 leches, always better than tres leche...turns into the place to party at night so come early to eat, stay late to dance, Holla!! Features: No masks

The food here is excellent but overall the service is pretty terrible. If you're looking for take out and don't mind a quick dry interaction with the server then this place is worth giving it a try for the food. However, if you are looking for a place to sit down and have a nice meal, this may not be the place for you. In my experience, when I visited this place, the server who took my order was very unfriendly and abrupt, I observed her put my food in the microwave before bringing it to me, did not check on us throughout the entire meal, and at the end when I asked for the bill, she stood there silently after giving it to me with her arms crossed waiting for me to give her the money, then when she brought us back the receipt, she waited there again with her arms crossed not saying anything waiting for me to sign the receipt and once I handed her the receipt she started cleaning the table off without even giving us a chance to get up. I've eaten here before with take out, and again I do say the food is good but that was the first time I dined in and it will definitely be my last.

Fitst off... went at night 10pm'ish and was padded down before entering. Never been patted down to enter a restaurant. Secondly, the music was so loud that I had to scream into the waitress ear to place it. Food was ok, but overall was way below my expectations.

Food is authentic and the staff is awesome. Great food. They have a nice bar inside

Good Music good food but some waitresses are not nice, unfortunately get the work of other once harder.

My experience in merengue was TERRIBLE. Once served, I was eating my food when I noticed a terrible smell. I proceeded to get the waiter attention to inform her of the smell and explained to her , that the food was rotten! She agreed and got her boss to let her know of the situation. However after the boss was inform she only proceeded to give us a 3 dollars discount of the total sum. Which obviously was ridiculous, and I explained payment was not an issue.

The food is not expensive but the service sucked....the waitreses there if you are not a dude that look like that was there to drink they don't even look at you as a customer...smh
