First off el pollo loco has changed so much. I stopped going when the bbq black beans disappeared. I was craving the creamy cilantro dressing; Went thru the drive thru on a Saturday late afternoon: 3 cars ahead of me. Staff: very into their own "personal" conversation while i was waiting at the drive-thru window. Smh confused if what she had in her hand was actually my order. Asked for 3 house salsa and 5 Avocado salsa. Didn't get it. Luckily I checked my bag before going home. I went inside- no salsa bar. I got the missing salsas and left. Robot: didn't see any robot chefs Food: 2 BRCs and a large side salad. The cilantro dressing was bland and needed salt. I could tell they changed the recipe. The burritos are the size of Tina frozen burritos little fuller. $3+ with tax. Not worth it. A petite woman like myself would need 2. The flavor is still the same but my burrito was mostly rice. Almost $12 for 3 items. Hard pass
This location has really gone down hill, it is the closest one to my house but I rather drive down to rainbow and sahara, way better service. First off its so damn dark around the whole building, not sure if the building needs new light fixtures/bulbs or they have some electrical problem, but not very safe and it just makes it seem like the place is closed. Second the workers seem so uninterested in their job, they lack in customer service especially their night shift. Third if I am going to be charged extra for meat then I would expect the portions to be more, last two times that we've been there the chicken has been burnt and been given less food; half of the bowls they serve in. The quality and quantity has definitely disappointed & we can not forget the amount of salsas they throw in those bags, such a waste honestly. I suggest asking the customer how many they want to avoid the waste. I really hope they do straighten things around there then we can try again but for now we wont be going anytime soon.
The food is decent for fast food. I usually get the chicken avocado burrito. The service isn’t as great anymore, especially since they have new kiosks to put your order in. The employees don’t even look at you to see if you need help, we had to nearly walk behind the counter to get someone’s attention. we asked about making a custom order and they said that we can do it on the screen so we did and they still messed up the order. I wasn’t surprised when they told me that their Horchata machine wasn’t working, again. He told me that he could try to get me some Horchata from the drive-through line, but that the machine wasn’t working well so it may taste weird. Basically the machine wasn’t working well because the refrigeration wasn’t working, so the Horchata was warm and he gave me ice to try to help type flavor. Other than that it was quiet. This is one of the places we eat at when we visit las Vegas. This location is always clean and the staff is friendly. The food tastes great and comes out quickly. I love the Horchata fountain. If you love citrus grilled chicken no one does it better than El Pollo Loco. My favorite thing on the menu are the grilled chicken legs, the crispy skin just does it.
We went on Saturday at 8 pm and they didn't have chicken ready for any order, the grill.was empty, no chicken at all.Food: 1/5
UPDATE: I first want to apologize for the latency of this, but I must share that I was contacted by the manager of this location to make things right, and was offered a replacement for my meal. Thank you for your understanding and doing the right thing for your customer’s although I wasn’t able to redeem the replacement due to the pandemic. Your efforts didn’t go unnoticed!!! I went to this location for lunch today, and got much more than I expected! I normally have pretty good service here but today, I can’t say the same. I wanted to try out the new chickenless pollo so I ordered my meal using the coupon that was sent in the circulars. After eating the shrimp taco, that only contained three shrimp mind you, on a large tortilla, I found what you see pictured below!!!! Needless to say I did not finish my meal, nor did I get a receipt for my purchase in the drive thru. I am very dissatisfied at the overall results of my meal, and the preparation job that went into completing it.... Would you eat it?

$5.49 protein bowl. 4 out of the 5 times ordered the chicken was all gristle and fatty. Tastes really good. I guess I should ask for better cuts of chicken. Live and learn.Food: 3/5
Although I give it many stars I do want to mention I really Love the Orgibal Pollo Bowl and I asked to sub out a sauce for another sauce not get an extra but I am being told no the sauce is the cilantro lime what I want on my bowl and again I am being told no I can't switvh it out then I was told it cost 50 cent umm ok thanks but no thanks just seemed strange to pay for a bowl and not have the option of my sauce or to swap a sauce. Then pay for the sauce I want idk..... Fast forward to yesterday which this story was about a week or two ago give or take and now the cilantro lime cost 86 cents WOW i just feel like Amercia has been pretty harsh towards us since the pandemic rather than helpful idk......... Any ways Be Blessed Lol I still Love a Original Pollo Bowl honestly! Signed By A'lady
