El Rancho Mexican Restaurant

Easily the best Mexican restaurant in Northern Michigan!! Large menu selection. Everything is made fresh. Service is very good. Great Margaritas too!! Been there dozens of times and never a bad experience.

Outstanding food! This is an awesome, family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food. The flavours are outstanding (flavoured with spices and not just salt), and the portions are also huge. Definitely coming back again!

Just left unhappy! When we walked in the hostess look irritated to see us. She didn't greet us, just said "how many' then quickly walked away saying "this way" over her shoulder. When we got to the table she just sat our menus and silverware down and walked away. When our food came the waiter failed to warn us that the plates were hot. He never came back to see if we needed anything then another waitress cleared our plates and got our check. The food was mediocre at best! All the staff seemed to be annoyed that they were there, no smiles or friendly greetings. We will never be back and I won't be recommend it to anyone.

Stopped here for lunch while getting a truck repaired. Not bad food at all. Great decor, great staff, the food is good but not the same as I am used living in the Southwest.

They have the best food. Large size tamales. Just love the combination plate. Great salsa and loco nachos too. Yum
