Story

El Restaurante La Sazon de Doña Elvira, se aperturó en enero del 2007, con la misión de ofrecer nuestra comida tradicional con las recetas originales.

Usamos los mejores insumos y especias que pasaron de mano en mano, desde nuestras abuelas y hoy en manos de nuestra Chef Elvira Lévano Ordoñez, son preparados con el mejor de los cuidados y detalles.

EL local inspirado en un ambiente acogedor, así como fotos de nuestros platos emblemáticos, hacen que nuestro apetito se active inmediatamente .

Nuestro esfuerzo y pasión culinaria hizo que participemos en el "Curso de Cocina Nacional e Internacional", organizado por Southern Peru.

Food was okay, was expecting more but overall it was good. Will be going again to try something different and definitely not on a weekend to busy or in the winter to cold to eat inside..Dine in: Yes
Absolutely going back!! The food was amazing. Showed up about 7 minutes before 8:30pm closing time and they still let us order. Sad we couldn't stay to eat there so that I can also assess the service, but I will go back at an earlier time next time. The Bandeja Paisa and Guatita were definitely the move. If you're not a fan of beef tripe, the Guatita platter is not for you.
I ordered rare steak and it was very well done...almost leather and impossible to cut. The rice was flavorful as were the beans. The pork mofongo was just jelly-like gobs of fat with a whisper of meat attached and the mofongo was dry and flavorless. The maduros were dry and lacked finesse. The salad was wilty and sad looking. Hoping it was judt an off night, but as it was our first experience i didn't lend itself to being worse repeating. There was a drink called Quaker that was quite good, like fall in a cup. That we loved.

Food tasted AMAZING!!!! while I was busting down my beef stew a little critter was floating in my gravy. Very unfortunate I will not eat there anymore. It’s a shame . I didn’t save the picture I sent it to door dash.

I just bought $60 worth of food and was only able to eat the fried cheese. I have never had such bland, dry and disgusting Hispanic food. The mofongo had no sauce and was dry enough to choke on. All of the starches were reminiscent of hospital food. The pork was an 80-20 fat to meat ratio. Will never eat from there again and hope to prevent someone else from making the same mistake I just did.
During a pandemic this place should be happy that people are still ordering Togo food. I spent $60 for food and delivery charges. One of the items I ordered was a large "Hen soup " because I wasn't feeling well that is only available on the weekends. This is what was delivered to me. I called and called and no answer. I will never order from them again. In these times, $60 is a lot to spend. I was charged $ 12 for 1 lg piece of yuca and I dont even know what the meat is and it wasn't even filled all the way. Once I pulled the yuca and meat out this us what was left of the soup see pictures below
Ordered on Uber eats. Food was good I would have given them 5 stars. BUT I ordered skirt steak dinner. The steak in the meal was not skirt steak it was cheap round. I paid for skirt steak not for a $3 beef round steak. Ordene y page por churrasco, no un bistec de pallomilla.
