Really enjoyed lunch here. We had the trilogy ceviche the middle Chinese fusion one was our favorite, plantains, and yucca fries as starters. I also liked the Cuban bowl as well. I would come back when visiting Lambertville.
Always a delicious meal here. Have eaten here many times. Their home made hot sauce is delicious. Nice outdoor eating area too. Gluten Free Friendly. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Friendly
Unfortunately, we were largely disappointed with the restaurant we had been willing to try for years. Yes, the food, most of it was quite decent. However, the place is terribly overpriced, even for Lambertville/New Hope area. One would have really hard time trying to find on their menu section "Flavors of Peru" main courses offered lower than $36. In fact, excluding vegan dishes, there are none. It's all $40, $38, and $39. Again, most of the food was good; the ceviche we had for one of our appetizers was freshly made and delicious $30 for an appetizer!, but their "Palta a la Reina" half of an avocado topped with Peruvian chicken salad tasted like a chicken salad from a hospital's cafeteria. We have several restaurants in our area specializing in Central American food and with their swanky modern interiors and not El Tule's rather "hole-in-the-wall" appearance complete with buzzing flies all their prices are one-half of what El Tule charges their customers. Yes, arguably, El Tule's food is better but it's not better to cost twice, with no drinks and one shared dessert, our check came up to be over $130 for 2 people. Even the top-tiered luxurious Lambertville Inn, a few blocks away, a true fine-dining establishment, offers significantly more budget-friendly pricing than El Tule! With clear consciousness, we can't recommend El Tule. Price-gouging at its best.
Loved everything about this restaurant. The quick and attentive service, the fabulous decor and the amazing authentic Mexican and Peruvian food. Had the chorizo tacos, tostones and nachos. Everything was delicious but the star of the show was the Mexican street corn. So very good. The rest of our party enjoyed everything they ordered too. Can't wait to return.
Cute BYOB in Lambertville with an extensive Peruvian/Mexican menu. The outdoor seating feels like you’ve been transported to a taqueria south of the border. Taco Tuesday is a great deal, as is the Wednesday Locals Night. House-made salsas are delicious. If you haven’t tried tacu tacu, this is the place! Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Good food, flavorful and spicy atleast the chicken & burritos were. The veggie quesadillas and veggie empanadas could use just a bit more flavoring. Atmosphere is excellent and inviting with a friendly and attentive staff even though they were extremely busy. Guacamole dip was also terrific!
So so so good! My friend and I had lunch there and ate outside. I love going to this restaurant. I’m always happy with the food and service. The guacamole was so good. We both got the Picante de Camarones Tacu Tacu and oh my it was delicious!!! The flavors were amazing.Food: 5/5
Amazing food, we ordered tacos, chilaquiles with Lomo saltado, ceviche, and churros. The tacos were to die for, chicken was well seasoned. Would definitely visit again but wouldn't get churros.Food: 4/5
Awesome menu, atmosphere, and staff. Real Mexican and Peruvian food. They have lots of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options. We came on a Sunday and sat in the cute outdoor dining area with our dog. The service was super friendly and fast! The tacos and the tacu tacu were delicious as well as the guac and dessert, and all had a nice presentation as well. I want to go back to try everything.
We had a great time at El Tule, the staff was nice, the food was amazing. Loved the option of mexican and peruvian food. The colorful design all around creates nice ambient atmosphere as well.Food: 5/5
