Chip was polite and professional. I came to him with an uncommon scooter Glion Dolly XL with a blown rear tube & tire from an unfortunate accident. Anyone who's ever tried to change a bicycle tire knows that the changing the rear is exponentially more difficult than the front. This was exponentially more complicated than THAT with completely useless support provided by the manufacturer. Even with the unusual hardware and the multiple sets of shrouded cables, he agreed to the work. He set solid expectations and potential timeline risks, and quoted a fair price for his time. Then exceeded all of them by having repair done nearly a day ahead of schedule. I'll definitely go back for any further repair needs!
Sketchy guy in an even sketchier neighborhood. Tire popped again not even 2 days later. He will not return my calls which I suspect is because he replaced pieces on my scooter with a broken one he had in his repair shop already… prepare for micro aggressions if you’re a POC.
My scooter had an error code and wouldn’t fold, and Chip fixed both issues for me at an affordable rate. Highly recommend this business if you’re encountering scooter issues.
After some hard use, a few mishaps, and some repair work I didn't do well to complete myself, my 2 year old Mantis 8 scooter was out of commission as one of my primary transportation modes. I decided to leave my Mantis 8 scooter with ElectroScooterWorks, in the hope that I could get it back ASAP. GREAT DECISION. Despite the number of problems to fix, I got the scooter back in a reasonable amount of time, and I'm back on the roads and running smoothly. THANK YOU!

Went here 2 days ago, called in and told the mechanic what the repair for my fluidfree mantis pro was and got the scooter day after. I had my rear tire tube flat, I brought my own tube. If you had the same problem make sure you bring your own parts. The mechanic/owner is independent, I don’t think he has supplier for parts, at least in my case. I think fluidfree or any mainstream e-scooter seller should at least supply this business as when I called fluidfree they referred me to this shop. The mechanic do all the repair by himself and I think it can be overwhelming, I went in as walk in and didn’t expect the repair to be done right away. The repair was nicely done and quick. The number and address here in Google maps is correct. I thought I was not at the correct shop due to lack of business post outside but other than that I am very pleased with the the service. Literally if my scooter ever breaks down I’m coming to him because he was really sweet and patient with me I felt like I was calling him a lot lol but he had everything ready way faster then I thought like I’m set for the school year now and my scooter is running super smoothly the back tire was a great call I appreciate your hard work thanks again
Chip is the best! Not only is he one of the only if not the only electric scooter repairpeople near DC, he's also a joy to work with. I had an issue with a Segway Ninebot battery, and he was quick to diagnose the problem, offered a fair price for repair, and even held on to the scooter for the many unexpected weeks that I was going back and forth with Segway. I would highly recommend going to him for any e-scooter issues you have.
Had a great experience with Chip at ElectroScooterWorks. He diagnosed our scooter's issue after only knowing the make/model and a brief description of the problem. Had it fixed for us in a couple days and returned it in what seems like better-than-new condition. He also took the time to really explain the details of the problem to us, and gave us tips for maintenance. Chip is everything you want in a mechanic. Knowledgable, fast and not too pricey.
