wow! Dr. Auger is amazingly focused on the care she gives her patients. She calls you back! She handles your appointments! She listens and understands and remembers what you told from your last appointment! She does not brush you off as my previous foot doctor did. She really seems to want to improve your quality of life, not just give out a prescription. I wish all doctors treated me like she did.
I visited Dr Auger after she was highly recommended by a coworker when I was dealing with plantar fasciitis from running. I went in August of 2020 and was first off highly disappointed with her bedside manner. I didn’t feel respected or like I knew anything about my own body and capabilities. The home exercises she then instructed me to do provided 0% relief for the pain I was experiencing, even though I did them religiously for several weeks. Her main recommendation for relief came in the form of expensive custom orthotics from her office which guess what I’d have to replace every few years. A few months later I decided to try going to physical therapy at the University of Utah orthopedic center. Wow!! The results I felt in my foot and ankle on BOTH sides were dramatically apparent after just 2 weeks. They gave me exercises that WORKED and strengthened my entire body, they listened to me and worked with me instead of talking down to me, and they didn’t try to coerce me into expensive procedures or orthotics. My pain disappeared and I feel confident in my ability to run the mileage I want without new pain developing and without gaining future injuries.
Had ingrown toenails removed with the understanding the recovery would be about 2 weeks. After 3 days, one of my toes was very swollen and sore. Went back to Dr. Auger who said it was a chemical burn from the chemical she injects into the nail bed. Big black spot developed on the side of my toe. Started antibiotics that made me sick every day for 10 days. She told me to come back every week for a couple of weeks. After more than 6 weeks it was still swollen so I went back for one final check. Just got a bill for that. Wow! Would have thought she would see a procedure gone wrong without charging me for an obvious error on her part. Total recovery time = 3 months. Choose carefully.
Fast service! I barely finished my paperwork when Dr. Auger called me up. No intake tech just straight to business with the doctor. And most importantly she was gentle with the scalpel. One complaint is actually about the building's signage. The directory inside the door says "First Floor Directory" and lists 400 and Dr. Auger which made me believe that she was on the first floor. I wandered around confused on the first floor for a few minutes before asking if 400 was actually on the first floor.
I had ingrown toenails removed. I was very anxious about the shots in the foot, but she was able to do it quickly and efficiently. The procedure was done in a matter of minutes and off I went. In follow up appointments she was caring and I felt very supported in asking questions. She was also very personable, I had a great time talking to her. Defiantly recommend her to anyone who needs a podiatrist!
Dr. Auger was great! She was on time, she listened to all of my questions and concerns. She gave me some great advice and next steps to relieve my plantar fasciitis.
Dr. Elizabeth Auger saved my vacation! We were visiting the area from out of state and had hiking, biking, and kid activities planned, as well as a family trip to Lagoon. I was limping and could hardly get around. Dr. Auger listened to me and took my travel situation into account for the treatment she rendered. It turns out I had plantar fasciitis. By the time I left her office, I was walking freely for the first time in a few days, and that evening I was biking I could hardly walk before. The rest of the trip was amazing, and a week later I'm continuing the exercises and treatments she recommended and am still improving. Totally saved my vacation. She knows her stuff and I can't recommend her enough. Haha maybe I'll fly to SLC if I ever have foot problems again!
Flexible, fast and professional. Dr Auger worked me in to a same-day appointment due to a painful ingrown toenail. She was quick and courteous. I will be going back and referring her to my family and friends.
Dr. Auger listens to your concerns and provides great medical advice on how to correct foot pain. I went to her a few years ago regarding Plantar fasciitis on my right foot. Yesterday I went because of heel pain on my left foot! I know that her diagnosis and recommendations on how to correct it are spot on. Her background in foot care coupled with her avid athletic background gives me the confidence that my left foot will be feeling fine holistically quickly.
I brought by 12 year old son to Dr. Auger for persistent toenail infections, she is a great provider, very straightforward and I respect and appreciate that. She preformed a procedure and thoroughly explained to us what she would be doing and how to take care afterwards. Definitely would recommend! Thank you.
