Great restaurant that featured local food products. The bacon was cooked perfectly! The crepes were super light and fluffy with great icing and strawberry sauce. The potato cakes were crispy and fluffy. Eggs cooked nicely and according to preference. The German pancake was huge, buttery and delicious. Orange juice had pulp which wasn't expected but it was fine. Overall a great meal
Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good and hot . Ordered that huge German Pancake. It's basically a flat crepe. Had crepes that big in Alaska. Fresh fruit was tasty. My daughter is gluten free. She got an omelette with hash brown. Problem with a restaurant that does not do a gluten free menu is they really are.not educated on gluten allergies. So many foods can be laced with flour. Shredded cheese, non caking ingredients, hollandaise sauce, even some prepared eggs. IHOP puts pancake batter in their egg omelette. Brags about how it makes the eggs more solid. Anyway. Shortly after getting home she didn't feel well. Stayed in bed. Had a nasty headache, nausea. If you want gluten free this is probably not your go to place. Place was jam packed. Handicap friendly. Restaurant, bathroom, parking. Fireplace was a nice touch. Warmed me up from the rain. Pictures on the wall were nice. I wish I could go back and try that fresh crab omelette.
Love this place, the staff is amazing and if we get Eric he already knows my family. Since we usually come here every Friday or during the weekend. This time around I got an omelette, it was amazing. I also got my all time favorite clam chowder yum! The previous time I went I got the Chicken-Fried Steak and Eggs with my clam chowder! I always look forward to getting my Clam Chowder when I go. If you are in the area stop by and try this place out. I honestly can’t remember how long we have been coming to this place but I believe it’s been more than 12 years.
Our first family trip to Elmer's. I grew up here and have been maybe five times. My husband has been a few times. Service was thorough and perfectly friendly. Food tasted above average. The staff serves many others-dependent customers with grace and friendliness. Price point is a bit higher than other chain breakfast joints, but we didn't mind paying and here's why: *Menu options are comfortingly familiar, but with fresh variations. *Kids' menu affordable! Plus they hook it up with s.w.a.g. *The overall quality and presentation of the food/restaurant made an a above-average experience. Moroccan coffee had a great balance of flavor and kick! Hats off, Elmer's.
The food is good not great. Everything seems geared toward a bland taste preference. The staff, atmosphere, and attention to detail are wonderful and brought them up to 4 stars. Ask for hot sauce as well as the salt and pepper, you are going to need it.
The food was absolutely perfect! The ranch breakfast was made by a chef not just a cook. I asked for crispy hashbrowns they were done to perfection. Eggs over easy also done perfect, no runny spots and no overdone yolks. The buttermilk biscuit melted in my mouth! The smokehouse bacon was slightly crispy but not burnt or overcooked. It was the best breakfast I have had in many years!!! The service was delightful and the atmosphere was comfortable and very clean. I am a huge fan and will be returning as often as I can.
To avoid sampling gumboot of the day, order your steak rarer than you want it. Other than that, food is ordinary diner food. Nothing so special, but a nice respite where one can sit down and relax for a bit. Cozy lodge atmosphere. Very long menu. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Table was clean.Food: 3/5
Got mixed berry German pancakes with supposed to be over medium eggs yet they were not cooked over medium and to top it off there was a long hair I ate and literally pulled out my mouth that was a good 5 inches long!!! Manager came over and said he would comp the eggs and meat for my trouble and only charge for the German cake yet to only find out it was only a total of $1.20 that was taken off the bill! I'm pretty sure 2 eggs and 3 sausage links would cost me more than that had I ordered them on the side!! Definitely not going to come back here!
My boyfriend and I went into the mall 205 Elmer's for breakfast this morning and had the best service we have ever had in our entire lives! Veronica was the best server, remembered everything we ordered, got our cappuccino refills quickly as we were finishing our first ones, and most of all she gave us service with a smile! We left the restaurant feeling so happy because her energy was definitely contagious!! If you go to the Mall 205 restaurant you should ask for Veronica!!! Guaranteed to start your day off right and you'll leave with a smile! Thank you Veronica!
A friend and I were setting at a table. There were 10 other customers. The waitress and the manager came up to us said we had to order something from the menu. We understand that is their policy but there are other restaurants where we do not have to order and just sit there visit and drink water. Well they lost our tip.
