dr. weise was so kind and attentive. was in nyc for a short trip when i started to have really bad eye pain & redness. i called him at 9am and he answered right away personally and made time for me that same day at 1:15pm. he was so kind and prescribed eye drops that helped with the pain. i 10/10 recommend seeing dr. weise if you are in need of eye care!

I called Dr. Weise 8PM on a Friday night to ask about a cat scratch to my eye. He returned my called in 10 minutes, listened to my situation and suggested what I should do. That kind of medical care is VERY rare in NY. Thank you, Dr. Weise.

Amazing Doctor I live in Long Island. Something flew in my eye around 4 pm Friday. I thought it was my eyelashes, tried to wash it out, was still hurting, went to a local urgent care where was checked by a nurse practitioner, she said she didn’t see anything. I called all local Optamologyst’s offices, they or their secretaries said they were closing and I should go to an emergency room which is stupid-they don’t have equipment to see if anything is in an eye, they only would do a visual check as that nurse practitioner, plus with a long wait you can catch covid. No one cared at all that my eye was hurting, and it was very painful when blinking. Finally when I was calling Manhattan offices Dr Weise picked up and said he would see me at 8 pm. I drove to the city with one eye hurting, didn’t have a choice. When I got to the office he called me that he was on a way, stuck in traffic he drove back to the office especially for me! Right away I could tell he is a doctor with amazing hands, after he got a first eye drop in my eye. I am a very sensitive customer, I can’t even stand when they do my eyebrows, do not take pain well. He got 2 pieces of dirt out of my eye that got deeply embedded, I almost didn’t feel it!!, checked my eye for scratches, put another drop of antibiotic and I was good to go! Absolutely amazing doctor!!! Amazing hands!!! And amazing human being to drive back to the office in traffic just for one patient in trouble! PS If he didn’t take out that dirt my eye would of developed an infection overnight and would of being harder to get it out. Plus was hurting so much, would’t sleep anyway. Highly recommend! You’d be lucky to be his patients!

Dr. Weise truly is a blessing. I had a bad cornea scratch at 1am and was completely terrified. Nothing was open and I didn't know what to do. He was available, calm, supportive, and so helpful. I can't say enough about how much his knowledge, demeanor and caring attitude meant to me. Thank you so much!!!

Dr. Weise really does call right back. He really does come see you at a moment’s notice. Totally professional. Totally knowledgeable. He saved my husband in a big way — he was in terrible pain with a scratched cornea. Dr. Weise put drops to numb the pain and prescribed medicine to help him through the next few days. He also just put my husband’s mind at ease because the pain was so severe, he thought there was something incurable going on. I don’t know if our paths will ever cross again, but we’re beyond grateful.

Dr. Eugene Weise Amazing doctor and person. I unfortunately had a contact lens infection in my right eye that developed into a corneal ulcer. My eye was blood shot red and I was in pain and was in desperate need of finding an eye doctor. I found Dr. Weise’s information through a quick google search and I cannot thank him enough for taking my phone call at 2AM. He kindly asked me what the problem was with my right eye and gave me simple instructions to follow. And he then said if the eye does not get better, please call the office in the morning and schedule an appointment to see me. The eye was not better the next day and I called his office and scheduled an appointment to come in and Thank God was able to get one that same day in the afternoon. Once Dr. Weise carefully examined my right eye, he diagnosed me with a right eye corneal ulcer and prescribed antibiotics. He is a kind and caring doctor, and I would recommend him to anyone having an eye health issue. He told me I am glad you came into the office. And my reply was: it was a pleasure meeting you and it is amazing and refreshing to know that doctors who have genuine interest in addressing patient’s urgent situations still exist… you definitely made my day and put a smile on my face.

Dr. Weise is truly an amazing doctor. My brother had an emergency that was resolved immediately. Dr. Weise called my brother at early hours and was very prompt in scheduling an appointment without delaying my brother’s care. My family is so thankful and I couldn’t be more happy to know that doctors like him exist! Thank you!

I was in a panic from leaving my contacts in overnight, one had stuck to my eye and I had ripped the outer layer of my eye pretty bad. It was bleeding and I was frantically searching solutions. I found Dr. Weiss via a google search, and I’m glad I did because he picked up my call directly and scheduled me for a few hours later, on a Saturday! He was calming and has a breadth of experience, easy to understand and straight to the point. 5/5 for all urgent eye needs.

During the restoration work on my antique car, a metal particle got into my eye. I wasted more than 4 hours in two hospitals, as a result, I found Dr. Weise on the Internet, and he answered my call at 2 a.m. and made an appointment. Everything was done promptly, the doctor is very attentive and friendly, thank you very much!

I’m so happy that I found Dr. Weise. He is a very skilled eye doctor and an even nicer person! When I got something stuck in my eye over the weekend, I did a search and came across his name. I called him and he saw me right away on a Saturday night. He did a thorough exam and took care of the issue. I’m not sure if he accepts insurance for night/weekend visits, but his fee was very reasonable! What really struck me was how nice and caring he was. He is truly everything that a doctor should be.
