Excellent diner. Food here is better than a lot of other diners. The breakfast is strong here as well as the fried food. I would recommend the waffles and pancakes. The batter they use is very good. Also their fresh ice tea is very good as well. Lots of space and the food comes out very quickly. Almost everything I've ordered here, I would order again. Give this place a try if your in the neighborhood.
Today was one of the best New York City diner experiences I've ever had, and I've had plenty. The Village Salad is essentially a Greek salad without the lettuce. What could be better? And this one was big, fresh, delicious, and beautiful. Service was attentive and capable, and the welcome was exceptionally warm. Even the coffee was a cut above. Emphasis is something special.
Great atmosphere and quality dining whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner this diner is a throwback to what old fashioned dining establishments use to be. A great place to eat and be comfortable with family and friends. Considering the trend of a lot of places pricing out a good quality meal but I can honestly say this establishment has done a very fair job at not pricing things to an outrageous rate and in these times we can all appreciate that.
Great diner located right outside the Bay Ridge Av Subway station. Visited many times and everything I’ve tried has been great. The staff are very nice and friendly and it’s open 24h. Highly recommended!Recommended dishesPizza Burger and Fries, Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes and Eggs, Fries, Onion Rings
Nice Eggs Meat and Waffles Right next to Subway Station. Great friendly atmosphere. If you miss the 80s and 90s diners, this is the spot .
I'm a Marine Veteran & I live in the neighborhood for the past 30yrs. I finally got my service dog & was STOPPED BY THE MANAGER from coming in. He was very very rude & disrespectful & said he didn't care that I served this country proudly. Why would you have this business in the United States if you're not proud to be here. All Veterans should boycott this diner. Horrible experience.
Such stellar customer service! The ladies who work here are such sweethearts. Always a smile and a kind word. The order is correct. The food is great and comes out promptly. The atmosphere is light and airy. They deliver 24/7 and that’s a bonus. The people who run this place make a point to make you feel welcome and the fare is well priced.
Horrible customer service. They have breakfast specials that come with juice and or coffee. I ordered one of the specials because that would save me some money DUH! Anyway, more often than not, the first thing you usually ask someone when they sit down in your restaurant is: is this your first time here? Did not get asked that. The man came off very angry and not at all suited for a job that is customer facing. The first thing he did ask was: “something to drink?” And in my mind I’m like maybe he should ask if this is my first time? See if I know how the menu works? But I digress. This is how they get you though. They ask what you want to drink. So that it’s not included in your breakfast special. Because if you ask that first, than when the customer ask for a special. they just ignore it and won’t even tell you “the special comes with a drink” So I go ahead and then ask for a breakfast special. To which in any other establishment, they would mention “the special comes with drink” But not here. Once I get the bill it’s $20! For some Breakfast at a diner? The special was $13! So me confused looking at the bill. I ask the host. When he calls over in the waiter, the waiter was immediately defensive. WTHECK? saying “this is what I asked you” First off: if a customer has a problem, you don’t try and negate and say “I asked you what size drink” that should NEVER be a standard when a customer is confused about a bill. And then explain “the drink for the special is this small” He and the host mimic a shot glass worth. While on that note: Why the heck are y’all given a shot glass worth of juice with a special? Just cheap. The host tries to deflect and go “it’s good for the baby” I am 9 months pregnant Again, speaking of the sizes should NEVER be standard when trying to explain something to a customer. Why not just explain that from the beginning? Like when I was ordering? “Hey, the special comes with this size” But again, not here! You guys should never try to deflect away from poor customer service and being greedy. By ignoring the customer and their confusion. DO BETTER!
Always a great experience. Friendly staff, helpful managers, owner always has a welcoming smile to offer. Great food, let me not forget!
The place look like it has been around a while, but the service was good. My order was on my table in less than 10 minutes:
