I called today, barely able to breathe to ask for a script for an inhaler. Kayla answered the phone rudely, very rude and dismissive like she had some other place to be other than work. She didn’t care about my condition she only cared about letting me have a piece of her frustration and lack of patient empathy. She needs to be working in a warehouse not a front desk receptionist. In fact she needs to be unemployed. She has no PEOPLE skills. She’s disgusting… What happened to letting the patient express their concern and than saying “I’d be more than happy to assist you”. Kayla wants to cut you off mid sentence like ur bothering her. Supervisor Simone is just as nasty and doesn’t know how to diffuse a situation. Kayla and Simone were obviously raised by wolves due to their lack of home training. The Doctors there are respectful and willing to provide adequate care to all patients regardless of race but, the front desk be prepared to some etiquette in them.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. First of all, my appointment was set at 1:45, I came at 1:00 because I wanted to get any registration and tests out of the way before my appointment. By the time they got to me it was 1:54. Next they told me I had to do a Covid test before going in, I called 3 times telling them exactly where I was, and the color and make of the vehicle I was in. Yet somehow I went into the front building and only then was I told that my vehicle needed to be parked in the handicapped spot, even though I made 3 phone calls prior parked outside of the building and not one single person told me where to park. You know what they did tell me however? How expensive the tests were and scold me like I'm 5 despite their lack of communication. That's not even all. I walked back inside because I wanted further clarification on parking mainly because I just wanted to get this over with because at this point it's been over 40 minutes and I really wanted to stop this game of runaround. When a receptionist at the front desks says and I quote "Oh my god" under her breath to her coworker looking directly at me. That was the final straw and absolutely ridiculous considering my doctor's visit was quick, easy and less than 10 minutes I had Dr. Pumar, who was very kind and friendly This is exactly why people don't like coming to doctor's offices unless it's their last resort, in healthcare you're supposed to HELP. Ignorant people like this have no business working here and should be fired. Do not come here if you can help it!
If you’re a diabetic avoid this place and Dr. Maryjo Donelle. I have been struggling to get a prescription for 3 weeks now and no matter how many messages I leave no one seems to be able to help me.
Stood up with no notice! I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Maloney's physician assistant Elizabeth Keeter and received a text message on the morning of the appointment, confirming it. When I arrived, new to the practice, I waited 10 minutes in the first floor waiting room. There were other patients waiting but no one was at the desk. When someone did eventually come, they sent me to the upstairs waiting room where they took my ID and insurance card and I started filling in the paperwork. About 10-15 minutes later, they came over to tell me that the physician's assistant wouldn't be in for the day. They mumbled "sorry," took back my paperwork and didn't even attempt to reschedule me. What makes the situation even worse was that I had originally scheduled an appointment with another OBGYN at an other practice, but cancelled it because I was able to get in at Empire a month earlier. Learned my lesson! This place seems like a disaster.
This place is the absolute worst doctors office I’ve ever been to from the phones not being answered to the rudeness to be or are organized all of it. This place needs to be shut down.
I found them through my insurance website as I wanted to have a PCP for regular exams and check ups. Reviews on Google weren’t this bad on begging of 2021. I wouldn’t blame the employees, doctors or nurses - it’s probably a management problem. Waiting time is way too long over 2 hours for a simply bloodwork or vaccine which takes 5 minutes, getting a hold on somebody over the phone is impossible and, when I’m finally able to set up an appointment, they find out they ran out of the vaccine I needed.
Please save your time and don't go here. They don't value their patients. They refuse to pick up the phone and when they do they just "mysteriously" hang up the phone. And when you try to schedule a virtual appointment, THEY miss the appointment, and then tell YOU that you're responsible for rescheduling and give you a much later date. If I would've known this would've happened, I would've just stayed home. Disappointed. Do yourself a favor and pick a different location.
Before Empire took over Dr Hermele’s practice in Spring I was spoiled with great doctor and a great and efficient staff When Empire took over my world changed. You cannot get anyone on the phone so I have to go to the office to make an appointments. I have ongoing prescriptions so when the drug store calls Empire for renewals they don’t call back so again I take a ride to give them a note to call the pharmacy. As far as my records, they have deleted them twice and at this time I have no history. The staff is poorly trained Bottom line, the worst company I have ever dealt with and today I have changed my health care to Atlantic Health
If you want to come here make sure you just call out! I had an appointment at 8am I get here the lights are off in the waiting room
