I am highly frustrated with this company. I had issues when they were installing my roof back over a year ago, but I decided to let go and leave it alone. Till now!! Over a year later, I come home from dropping my kids off at school to some random ladder propped up against my house with no note, no phone call, no notice that somebody’s going to be on my property doing a roof inspection a year after it was already done!!! Clearly the business owner is totally overwhelmed, understaffed and has a serious office management issue. Not even his receptionist could call to notify me the homeowner, that they’re going to be on my property.

I rarely have an experience with a company that is so exceptional that I am compelled to write a review but our experience with Energy Star Exteriors was so good that I need to let everyone know that there are still businesses out there that go the extra mile to take care of their clients. We called Energy Star Exteriors for a quote for a new roof. They responded promptly and Kirk, who I found out later is the owner, came to our house inspected our roof and provided an estimate. He insisted that someone from his company should be there when our insurance adjuster came to inspect the roof to see if it was covered under insurance and due to this we were able to get our roof expenses covered under our policy. They came when they said and finished in one day. When Kirk followed up with me to make sure everything looked good, I let him know that the roof looked good but that the installers had bent the gutter guards which wasn’t allowing the bottom of the shingles to lay flat. He said that was not acceptable and replaced all of our gutter guards with new gutter guards which completely solved the problem and took care of any issues. We were blown away by their commitment to quality, on time installation and complete customer service and satisfaction. I would highly recommend Energy Star Exteriors for any roofing work. We are very pleased.

These guys are either completely unethical or completely incompetent. Either way—we’d recommend staying far away. We signed a contract with Energy Star for a total exterior remodel of our rental propertyroof, siding, windows, wood repair, etc. after seeing all the positive reviews from multiple websites. What a terrible mistake! Hands down, Energy Star Exteriors is the worst company/contractor that we’ve ever worked with! They even tried to milk us for an extra $13,000 for work that was fully covered by insurance we verified this with two other independent contractors. There are honestly too many headaches and frustrations to list here. But here are a few highlights: 1. Energy Star Exteriors took NINE months to finish the project after originally estimating 6-9 weeks there were literally weeks and weeks when nothings was done on the house 2. The company sent us multiple “final” invoices of varying amounts towards the end of the project. Why would the amount change multiple times at the end of the project, unless their aim was to get more money from us? 3. Repeatedly harassed us to submit payment before the work was completed a direct violation of the contract terms and 4. Threatened legal action against us for payment and showed us at our primary residence unannounced and uninvited for payment. Creepy!! Luckily, we sent the check via certified mail the day after the work was completed, proving that the mistake was on their end. Apparently, their office manager was on “vacation.”. Again, nothing but stress and frustration with Energy Star Exteriors!

I highly recommend Energy Star Exteriors for roof and gutter replacement. Charles worked with the insurance company helping with the claim process. The roofers showed up on time, worked until the job was complete and cleaned up all materials. Charles made the roof replacement process less stressful for me and I appreciate all his help.

We recently had our roof done by this company. They are local, which is a plus, and they know what they're doing. Charles is a very personable, honest, helpful person you could hope to work with when dealing with this kind of project. The process was very stress free. Zero problems. The crew was professional and did the job in one day, and the crew that did the gutters were very precise and knowledgeable. The entire project came out great. I have to mention that the thing that made the biggest impression on me was how Charles took care of his crew. He made sure they had what they needed, that they stayed hydrated in our extremely hot weather, and brought them lunch for their break. You can tell the character of a person by how they treat their employees and I can say that his character is solid. If you hire this company you will be in good hands, and you will be happy with the end results.

Energy Star Exteriors replaced the roof on one of our properties and made the whole process easy for us and our tenants. They were professional and communicated well throughout the process. We would definitely recommend them and use them again ourselves.

I had a great experience with this company when they put a new roof on my home. The owner is very nice and was on the job site throughout the duration of the job. As a military family it was nice to have Energy Star Exteriors take such good care of us. Make sense since the company is run and owned by a vet. Highly recommend this company to anyone.
