Had a smooth, flawless experience here. My usual ENT was not available, so I booked an appointment here online the night before. Entered all my information ahead of time in their web portal. When I arrived about 30 minutes early, I didn't have to fill out any paperwork -- I just gave them my ID and insurance card. They took me in EARLY, administered a hearing test, and then I met with Dr. Ashman -- who was patient, professional, and insightful. I had a 10am appointment and was out by 10:30am. Based on my experience, I feel this is a very well-run office, and everyone I talked to -- the front desk, the audiologist, the nurses, the ENT doctor -- were kind, sympathetic, and helpful.
Do not come here unless you absolutely need to, they will nickel and dime you however they can. I came here to get help for some pain I was having with my ear and was told by the doctor I should have a hearing test done. I waited for the audiologist but she left WHILE I was waiting and I was told I'd have to make another appointment. Fine whatever. I paid my $50 copay and made another appointment. When I came back, my hearing test came back fine and the doctor basically just shrugged and said ears get pain sometimes for no reason and he gave me no solutions for my ear pain that I am still having months later. They made me pay my $50 copay again even though they made me come back to see the audiologist and my appointment in total took maybe 15 minutes. Now I get a bill in the mail for another $50 copay for seeing the audiologist after what they charged my insurance??? So I have to pay $150 total after my insurance for receiving no help with my medical issue. This whole place is so scammy, please do not come here. There has to be better ENTs out there that won't take advantage of you.
Horrible Drs. Messed up my nose so bad. Came out worst and he was the worst. So rude when I confronted him. He needs to go back to college. Never again. I hope nobody has to deal with him again. Dr. Lin you are the worst
Good doctors overall but horrible patient intake process. The office opens at 8 am and even if you’re there 20 minutes before 8 am to fill out any paperwork, prepare for your morning to wait!! Note my review is AFTER I provided my insurance information 3 days prior to my appointment and I was assured I’d have the first appointment at 8:10 am. What a joke! Incompetent, privileged, slow, are just a few descriptive words that come to mind. Evidently, patients do not have jobs & families to get back to and we are all sitting in the waiting room to enjoy the “ambiance”.
Dr Sacks performed my sleep apnea surgery many years ago. He provided a very thorough examination for this visit, to address a recurring ear wax and discharge problem. I have always been extremely pleased at how thorough Dr. Sachs is and with the solutions he provides.
This has been one of the best healthcare facilities I have visited in New York. Dr Guy Lin was really exceptional.
One of the most underhanded places I went to. I had an appointment with Dr. Green for wax removal. He was very polite and determined that it was not necessary. Dr. Green is a very polite and well spoken person and I'm sure his reputation precedes him. As we were talking, he noticed I was suffering from allergies and asked "hey, I have something that can clear those sinuses, you want to try?" I said "sure." He inserted a small tube into my nostrils and just blew some air into it, the entire process took less than 10 seconds. 2 Weeks later I started getting several bills from this office. Initially charging $500 to the insurance for a "Nasal Endoscopy," after the insurance and a negotiated discount, I it was reduced to $256. So, I called the ENT and allergy associates billing department and explained that the doctor never mentioned the hefty price for this "treatment" a treatment that gave me 5 minutes of relief and I was under the impression that Dr. Green was just being nice and that I was never made aware that I would be charged for it. The bill agent, she unequivocally and vigorously defended the Dr and explained that he does not concern himself with a patient's bill or insurance. So, earlier today I get a collections call demanding I pay this doctors office. I am in awe, in all the wrong ways. This is disgraceful and unbecoming of a professional or even a doctor's office. I will have to figure out how to submit an official complaint. Update: ENT reached out to me and agreed to waive the bill because I was "unhappy." I also mentioned that I did not actually receive an actual nasal endoscopy, for which I was charged for. Regardless, thank you for reaching out and I appreciate it.
Saw the doctor for 5 min, my concerns and pain was dismissed and I received a 1000$ bill. Not a good place.
Dr. Chandra Ivey is the finest doctor I have ever known. She is everything a doctor is meant to be: incredibly knowledgeable and deeply empathetic. She has extraordinary expertise in her field, both as a laryngologist and a surgeon, as well as a fine overview of general medicine. She always takes time to listen to her patients and assess the entire person before reaching conclusions and communicating them clearly. Dr. Ivey has guided me through complex voice challenges through the years, and I completely rely on her expert diagnoses and treatments. I have recommended countless of my voice students to Dr. Ivey, who has guided them into full recovery. As a singer, your voice is your life; and I trust Dr. Ivey absolutely with mine. She is in a class by herself.
The physicians, audiogists and office staff are knowledgeable and skilled. In particular Dr. Robert Green is very skilled and takes the time to examine the patient and explain his findings fully. Dr. Yana Vertsman, audiologist, is most proficient at fitting, explaining and instructing patients in the use and features of the hearing aids that are most appropriate for a person's specific hearing loss and issues. Her patience and willingness to answer all questions pertaining to one's hearing aids is unparalleled. Her willingness to answer all questions and her caring diligence throughout the hearing aid fitting and adjustments is truly commendable. I highly recommend this practice and should you need to get hearing aids I would urge you to work with Dr. Yana Vertsman, audiologist.
