One of the best, if not the best Equinox locations in the city. Great equipment, friendly staff and a clean environment to workout in. May not have the size or amenities of the bigger locations but the quality of my experience is what really matters and for that I must rate this place five stars. Raul De La Cruz along with general manager Henry are fantastic ambassadors for Equinox as a company. Raul is extremely friendly and always willing to help others in regards to any concerns you may have. Will definitely be coming back to this gym very often.
Membership dues rise every year but overall service of equipment, cleanliness, stocking of towels, toiletries, toilet seat doilies, soap in shower, functional hand dryers, etc have gone down hill. Also pretty sure a credit card theft occurred from my locker. Can’t prove it but zero follow up from management when I informed them of my suspicions. Stretching mat area looks like a mud room. For $250+ a month you’d expect a better overall experience. Staff is friendly but that seems to be only thing going for this location these days.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Equinox Dumbo, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of professionalism that set the tone for my entire visit. Raul, one of the staff members, had outstanding hospitality and dedication to ensuring I had a great experience. He was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the facilities and services offered at the club. Raul took the time to show me around the gym, explaining the various amenities and answering all my questions with patience and enthusiasm. His guidance made me feel valued as a potential member and left a lasting impression on me. The gym itself is state-of-the-art, equipped with top-of-the-line fitness equipment and facilities. Whether you're into strength training, cardio, or group fitness classes, Equinox Dumbo has something for everyone. The cleanliness and organization of the space further added to the overall positive experience. Overall, my visit to Equinox Dumbo exceeded my expectations, thanks in no small part to Raul's friendly demeanor and exceptional service. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a premium fitness experience in the Dumbo area. Thank you, Raul, and the entire Equinox Dumbo team, for providing such an outstanding facility and service.
One of my favorite Equinox locations. It's beautifully designed and very quiet during off hours. It has all the equipment I need laid out on one floor, big windows for natural light and is always clean and organized. What makes it better is the staff; from Jack at the front desk who gets me my weighted jump rope, to Ceon who is in charge of maintaining the club and is he friendliest person you will meet, to Kay and Raul in the membership dept. I've had great luck with a series of trainers I look forward to seeing in a social capacity as well as the training. The entire staff creates a welcoming environment to come to day after day, which is great when needing the motivation to finish the last 30 min of the workout.
The Dumbo location of Equinox is truly exceptional and continues to improve. While I initially encountered some issues , over the past 7-8 months, the staff has gone above and beyond, particularly in ensuring my safety as a female member both in the gym and in the locker rooms. Any concerns I've had, whether regarding safety, equipment, or anything else, have been promptly addressed by Kay Jones or my personal trainer, who efficiently relayed them to the corporate team. Highly recommended
Best equinox location in the city, not too crowded, great facilities and management, especially Raul who was extremely helpful with pretty much everything. Highly recommend.
Best Equinox in NYC. The staff is always super helpful, the place is clean and the extra amenities are great. Trainers are personable and friendly. Great location as well! Enjoy getting my workout in whenever I can and then walking around the area.
Please don't join, it's not a gym whatsoever. There are no machines at all, only pulleys all over the place. Basic cardio you can find in a $10 gym. Lifetime across the street has 3 floors of equipments at a comparable price. Please explore them first. Here, tainers will hound you for personal $$$ after paying a good amount monthly. It's full of Gay men doing their hair and making whatever little straight guys are there uncomfortable with unnecessary nudity and of course Barbies doing their elliptical. I mean rich or middle class if fitness is important to you, you won't find it here. Also, they allow their staff to workout at peak hours who are highly underpaid and think they own the place and hence rude and condescending. You will find a braided super tall black man hitting on members, walking around aimlessly, and misbehaving. The manager will blame you if you have problem with a staff. To make you feel you are paying for what you get, they have the cheapest razors which will cut your face, and medical store shelf moisturizers. I mean it's better to throw $250 plus in the drain or give it to a homeless than these scam artists. Also no elevator for the needy. Stay away.
The cleanest, newest and nicest equinox that I have been to. A lot of natural light and space does not feel too crowded. Very gentrified crowd tho, like dumbo generally. Go here especially compared to the brooklyn heights location.
My favorite Equinox in Brooklyn, hands down! The staff is friendly and in sync from maintenance to management. The club is clean and full of natural lighting. At night, the warm lighting feels super sexy! The Group Fitness is very engaging and has a wide variety of classes which are included with the membership. They have the best Pilates and personal training in the industry. I love locker room, unlimited Kiehl’s products, eucalyptus steam room/towels and the LightStim bed in the spa! This club checks so many boxes. Being nestled in Dumbo is a huge plus as the neighborhood is very scenic, fun and full of action. It’s also right across the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges which makes it very accessible. Not sure what I’d do without Equinox Dumbo — it only gets better and better with time. Personally, I recommend the All Access membership or better to fully immerse yourself into the Equinox experience. Equinox has so many locations which is a huge plus, but if I had to choose one, Dumbo for sure!
