Escape Day Spa

Me, my sister, & my mom had a girls spa day at Escape Day Spa and we had an amazing experience. Rachel C., Evelyn, & Taylor S. gave a relaxing and overall wonderful experience. Escape Day Spa is a great place to visit when you are looking a day full of relaxation. The environment is calm & peaceful making it so easy to relax.

I was very nervous coming to my appointments today just because I didn’t know what to expect and had never been to a spa. From the moment I walked in I felt so welcomed. I was greeted and taken back in a room within 5 Minutes, I didn’t have to wait at all!! The atmosphere is the most beautiful and relaxing experience. Sound machiene, candles, dim lights, relaxing music. I was offered water often. Matt did my massage and it was PHENOMENAL. I only booked for 30 min, after today I will be booking an hour long massage every month Nyree did my brightening facial and dermaplain and she is amazing! She gave the perfect tips and skincare recommendations. She informed me often on what she was doing or applying and she made sure I was comfortable. Will 100% be back!

I booked a full spa day consisting of a 90 minute massage a scalp massage a 60 minute facial and a spa pedicure. My appointment time was 1130, I showed up at 11:35 at the latest. There was only one receptionist so it took me about 10 minutes to check in And it wasn’t even by the receptionist it was by my masseuse. We got into the room. I told him what I was looking forward during my massage and we started my massage at around 1150 I was out of the room at 1:17 PM. I went up to the receptionist and asked them if he thought we were on a 60 minute massage with a 30 minute scalp massage. She agreed to take my 90 minute massage down to a 60 minute massage. I thought that this would be the end of any complication at the spa, however, was the beginning. As I walked into my facial, the receptionist precedes to barge into the door as I am getting ready to change into my row and tells me that I was late he was ready for me at 11:30 and she would not be taking it down to a 60 minute massage anymore. Alexa was fantastic with the facial. I very much enjoyed getting to know her and the expertise that she has in her profession. Eke was absolutely amazing during the small pedicure, I will definitely be back for her. As I went to go check out I was told that all of my services totaled up to $290. I told them to add a 20% tip to each person And she told me it would be $79. I’m not good at math but I do know that 20% of 290 is not $78, I also had $15 left over on a gift card but I was going to use for this, so my card should have only been charged a total of $36 after my entire service. After I left, I started thinking about the payment. So I called back, and the receptionist told me that she was looking at the wrong line and that’s how much it truly is going to cost me, all of the services were great minus the fact that the massage was rushed so that he could get to his next appointment, and the receptionist absolutely know how to kill High coming off of a spa day. It’s really unfortunate when you spend this kind of money at a spa and it doesn’t seem like the face of the establishment knows what’s going on half of the time.

Wow . What can I say ,or where should I start ? I've been coming to Escape Day Spa ,a beautiful quint spa in the heart of Homewood off Oxmoor road . I'm even more surprised I have yet to leave a review as I'm the self proclaimed Yelp queen and I've had several services at this establishment . I make it my duty to attend every Open House and take advantage of the amazing Black Friday package deals. I've had facials and massages and I can say without a shadow of a doubt the massage is where to go , in particular with the masseuse Ms . NITA . I can barely configure the words to type at how blissfully blessed she is and through her hands I can tell she loves what she does ! Although a small woman ,she has mighty healing hands . Every single session I'm left in complete relaxation , bliss and feeling lighter than ever . She starts the service by inquiring of any allergies and or points of body that need extra attention ,followed by inhaling an aromatic essential oil. She focuses on each quadrant with enough time to really get all the kinks and knots out . You think the hands are amazing then she uses hot towels and stones to each tension . I could legitimately write a body ,hypothesis and statement and how amazing she is at what she does but this should suffice! What a blessing to have such an amazing masseuse in town ! I love her and the amazing sisters that are owners of this establishment and the lash studio next door! Tell them Ka'Shayla sent you!

I received a spray tan for my daughters upcoming wedding, Nyree was incredibly helpful professional and made me feel super comfortable!

Jessica was great to work with in scheduling our wedding party appointments. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The therapists listened to our requests, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the area was so cute with little shops to walk to and look through either before or after our appointments.

One of the most relaxing and professional spas I've been too. The atmosphere is so soothing. Perfect place for self care. I enjoyed my facial. Sarah did a good job. She is calming, pleasant, and easy to talk to. Jessica at the front desk has great customer service. There is an African American young lady at the front desk also,don't know her name but she has great customer service too. She was there around 3 pm on a weekday if that helps. Glad I found this place.

My husband gifted me a prenatal massage for Christmas here. I really enjoyed the care and comfort of the massage from Justin.

Visiting for the weekend to relax and rejuvenate; wife booked the appointment and these folx did not disappoint. Immediately felt at ease by soft greeting as I entered. Then led down a hallway with warm tone wood floors, calming blue walls into a waiting area complete with a massage chair. The room was very cozy and hygge style with southern flair! Comfy couch, rattan love seat, a hobo chic repurposed side board and a beautiful wood coffee table all adorned this room and completed it. They offered both cucumber water and a fresh organic assortment of hot teas and accoutrements from Walden Farmacy. I had their Coconut Cardamom Oolong tea and it was heavenly. I am not a big tea drinker but this may change my perspective, and it's all in the waiting room...before the magic! I'm sitting in the chair, sipping tea when suddenly Rachel appears. She invites me back to the room and takes great care of my neck and shoulders with a deep tissue massage. She is amazing! I'm a big person and I was worried but she put me at ease and I drifted in and out of complete awareness as my normally tense and overworked muscles finally relaxed. Before I knew it, it was over and I walked back to my car like a baby giraffe that hasn't figured out its balance yet. Tl;DR I cannot recommend this place more. Sanitary, safe, stellar customer service!

If you need to grow 2 inches or have your body completely rejuvenated, you need to get a massage from Nita. Cannot wait to see her again for my next appointment.
