this store is locally owned & operated. it has lower prices than the local chain pet supply stores. they do NOT sell animals. they do sell everything that you’d need & are very knowledgeable & helpful as associates too. i get everything that i need for my African Grey here now! even cheaper than Amazon. it’s also an adorable little store. products are top-notch brands, & you can get little fun things there too. overall it’s always an excellent experience in the store!

Essex Bird and Pet Supply is our go-to place on the North Shore for dog food, chicken food, and wild bird seed of all types. The girls who own this place are super nice, knowledgeable, and friendly. We'd rather spend our money here than any of the big box pet supply stores. Highly rated and recommended!
great store, small shop, extremely well stocked. you're paying for actual quality here, not high priced shopping center floor space. products not just for wild and pet birds, but for cats, dogs, and small animals, too. fun place to shop.
