Essex Junction Grand Buffet

This is the first time in Vermont in last one year we found a seafood buffet with great taste and flavor. We were four people went there and all of us were very satisfied. We were looking for Halal restaurant in whole Burlington but couldn’t find one since seafood is Halal, It was our best choice to break fasting.

Best chinese buffet in the area. Went there again today. My wife likes Merlot wine with her meal and commented that unlike other places, they fill your glass with a generous portion.

Friendly staff and attentive to the dishes on our table. This is pretty much like any other all you can eat Chinese buffet. Nothing to special. Some of the steam table items were very cold for some reason. The General Tso and Honey chicken were not good at all. There was no meat in them at all, and if you got some it was a morsel of rubberized chicken. Kimchi tasted like sweet horseradish didn't even resemble a taste of good kimchi. Sushi was slightly better than most buffets like this. Fried dough was decent so it has that going for them. Anyway nothing to right home to mom about. But if you're hungry it'll do in a pinch.

Ate there Saturday afternoon and arrived during late lunch hours. Lunch turns to dinner at 3:30pm and they take "lunch" dishes away and put "dinner" dishes out. They place a sign next to the dinner entrees and patrol this... tacky and rude. Overall, the food is good during peak hours, but don't go after 8:00pm, because the food won't be fresh and the workers will be in a rush to clean around you and close things down. Sushi is hit or miss depending on who is making it. If it's an older woman, there's a good chance she will be behind the counter on her phone. Don't go here if you expect polite service. The servers won't let you take off your jacket and sit down before taking your drink order. Servers may cut you off as you're walking to and from the buffet. The person refilling the food will jump in front of you, as well. I've eaten there over 20 times, usually during dinner hours, but never again. Being shaken down for a couple extra bucks on Saturday was the last straw. Never again.

Was here with my son's basketball team for dinner, my son and I are very a few minutes after everyone else the wait staff didn't ask what we wanted for drinks I had to ask for drinks, food was ok not the best! expensive for the quality of food being put out.
