Esso

I'm a loyal Esso customer and not only because of the Speedpass and Aeroplan points. I liked the way they rationalized their locations and rebuilt all of their stores. Loyalty has a cost. There isn't always a nearby Esso when you need to fill up. However, if you can keep driving, you will eventually see an Esso sign. If you're getting desperate, you can always Google the nearest location. On this occasion, we came across an Esso symbol and an arrow pointing to the road you need to take. We got off the 401 and followed the signs. We eventually came to a village and a smart looking Esso. We filled up and once again were on our way.

For a gas station that has a sign on the 401, not cool! Last time we came this way we were low on gas and we're relieved to see the highway sign. Got off at the exit only to find NO sign to say which way from the ramp. So of course we went the wrong way. Finally turned around and went back... To find it closed at 9pm... This was 10pm. YOU ARE GOING TO STRAND PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! Either don't have a highway sign, put "open til 9pm" on it, or be OPEN! We ended up barely making it to the next open station in COBOURG after wasting more gas finding you. Also... Stopped by again today to get smokes and use the bathroom. The bathroom was gross and had nasty wet tp everywhere. And the lady was pretty rude about not having the smokes my husband asked for. It's called Customer Service. Get some. A quite pointed and cold "That's all we have." is what he got instead of a "Sorry sir, we're all out... Is there a different brand I could get you?" I swear she was upset that he didn't want the ones she took out when he asked.

Gas is always 5 or 6 cents more expensive than in Cobourg and they close way too early.
