Estrela Ponderosa Bar & Restaurant

Only when you are really desperate... Everything including shops were closed this evening so we decided to eat anything because we were starving. Unfortunately we found this snack bar. Tapas were really grose -cold and greasy potatos from microwave and stale chcicken sticks. Disgusting. Frozen pizza from market and stale meat. Only burger was quite edible. Do NOT recommend for eating!

One of my favourite bars in the Albufeira region. Small local but with a very welcoming atmosphere and good food. If you're staying in Jardins de Pera then this is a 4 min walk and is perfect for a family supper or just to go and have a few beers.

Lovely quiet spot. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious food and excellent value. Ok, not 5 star, because the food quality was basic, the plate chipped, the table wonky, but sometimes those things are not what matters when enjoying good company, Sangria and the beautiful Portugese summer evening outdoors. I think we'll be back. ......so we went back the next day! We sat at another table which was just as wonky and I bumped my shin ouch but the chicken piri-piri I had was to die for. All our meals were fabulous. I'd give an extra 1/2 star if I could.

I mean ended up here as we were hungry and not much else around. Wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had but the waiter was friendly and he let us use the toilet...which I suppose is a good thing.

We regularly stay in Pera at the Jardin de Pera apartments near by We always pop into Estrella at least a couple of times during our stays It's a local bar with great atmosphere Drinks and food are cheap + cheerful The toasties are amazing ! Service is always with a smile and you are made to feel welcome Great for all the family

Bar of choice in our village. Food lovely. Meals very substantial. Love to visit Analidio here
