Customer service at its finest, Sirgut at Ethiopian Airlines office in Alexandria, VA is truly the epitome of service. She was referred to us by a friend due to unexpected challenges with travel plans we had. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left we really felt like a VIP. She worked out all of our concerns and advised us cost saving measures to ensure our travel plans was successful. My entire family and I have used Ethiopian Airlines all of our lives, but never felt this level of service in all the years. If you are looking for someone to help you with your travel plan anywhere Ethiopian Airlines services call Sirgut, she will make your travel plan a dream.
How is it possible that you have a customer service that NEVER answers their phone??? Calls keep getting routed to the Ethiopia service center and it's not like I'm calling after business hours. I don't know how Ethiopian Airlines keeps claiming they're a great airline - you are not! Do better.
The worst customer service ever! Ethiopian Airlines is so overrated and does not live upto its name. If you have other options, consider that! Customer service crew is the worst I ever had to deal with. With little to no knowledge of the job, arrogance and rudness seem to be the modus operandi of the Airline. Again, if you have other options, do not hesitate.
Can't even book online because it keeps rejecting my date of birth. I put in different dates to troubleshoot. Same issue. It rejected all of them. Probably IT issue, but not acceptable. You want a piece of the US market, well you should get ready for it, at least technically. Simple date of birth, men!!! Can't even be coded by your team? And you have a lot of 1 star reviews. Start paying attention to them.
Where do I start. I flew Ethiopian business class multi city from ATL to Tanzania, then to Johannesburg, and back to ATL. On the flight out my seat was broken and did not recline and my screen didn’t work, it was a long flight. The WiFi was also spotty after I spent $25 for it. On the way back my bag didn’t make the transfer in ADD and this is where the 1 star comes in. Luckily I put an air tag in my luggage so I could see where it was. After standing at baggage claim my bag never came out so I checked it’s location and saw that it was still in Ethiopia. I went to an agent and told him this, he had me fill out a claim form and said that the airline would be in contact with me and my luggage would be delivered to me once it arrived. Fast forward to a week later, according to their website my bad has not been found although I can see it’s location at the airport in Atlanta. I made FIVE trips to the airport to try and get my bag but each time there were no representatives at the airport to help me. I tried calling, emailing, submitting feedback and all of it was no help. Finally I found out they have a separate baggage office from the main one that operates a few days a week for a few hours. I went there, and found that my bag was buried in a storage room. Because of the airtag I was able to point them in the right direction of my bag and they had to dig it out. Had the AirTag not been in there I likely never would have gotten my bag back. You all really need to do better. Through this whole experience I was not contacted one time and the rep I finally talked to at the airport offered me nothing for the inconvenience. Don’t plan on flying them ever again.
Great service. I had a hard time getting a refund back in Ethiopia. But the flight was good and the service great. The Ethiopian people are very kind and considerate.
Whatever you do, do not fly Ethiopian. Take a bus, take a boat, or bike or crawl. The customer services is the worst. They never take calls. They lost a bagage tagged priority and they never followed up with me. Their office Alexandria is the worst place to visit or call. Just taking this to note that all my 200+ employee who fly across the world for work will never use this airline again. Fly with them at your own risk
been on the phone since 9 am for 1 hour waiting for someone to pick up. I cant believe how little they care. Not a single person picked up the phone to help. Worst airline to fly on. They charge $600 to reschedule a flight for the same day. I had called 3 time on there international line to see if they would help me out for a reduced fee, for some reason I feel like they make up a number from thin air. I had 3 different prices from 3 different customer service. Price went from $600-720 for the same flight. Each of them told me this was there flat fee price from the 3 different people. If I could pay to give this airline a lower score I would love to.
I wish there was a half star rating!!!Super disgusting service at Johannesburg Airport South Africa!!!!!! It was supposed to be my first time flying with them to the USA so I tried to pay my ticket online and no luck as they had system issues we called them several times no answer!!!so I reserved my seat and went to the airport to pay, well as I got to their desk they refused to help me and the manager told them not to sell me my reserved seat as all my details was on the computer as the lady was checking!! and I told them I was unable to make a payment online as their system was not working and they simply told me to book a seat for the next day showing no interest in my problem and I had to leave on that same day there was no going back home again!! So lesson learned I will never ever recommend them to everyone!! I immediately went to the next airline SWISS Air super friendly and awesome service!!
IS THERE AN HALF STAR??? Like negative star. NEVER FLY with this airlines. Walk, run, bike to your location if you’ve got to. DO NOT ever fly with this company. I ended ip with them because Brussels airlines canceled my flight and rebooked me with them well biggest mistake of my life! Should have refused it. They lost my luggage, they never followed up and each time I called I was told inaccurate information. They are INCOMPETENT they’re HORRIBLE!!!!!!! NEVER USE THEM.
