Wow....what a place....the look of the place inside and out is a bit underwhelming......but don't let that discourage you. TRY SOMETHING NEW! The food was so good! The 3 of us got the middle priced "sample" platter....I don't know what any of it was but boy was it good! It had some lentil stuff...goat, chicken....and other things! Everything was so tasty! We will be back! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan
I had my first Ethiopian food here, loved it! Since I live pretty far away from here, I haven't been back for years. Came back tonight, the restaurant got renovated, which was a great surprise. Unfortunate, the food are not as great as before. We ordered the spicy lamb and spicy beef, neither of them are spicy at all. The flavors are still very good, just not spicy at all.
Traditional Ethiopian food with massive proportions for a great price. Definitely recommend going with a group and getting messy with their dishes be prepared that you only use your hands to eat!. We have tried both vegan and non-vegan dinner options and highly recommend both.Food: 5/5
We had a group of 11 that popped in tonight. Everyone was loving all the dishes. Eating family style Is always fun. Several of our group had not had Ethiopian food before, It was a big hit.
I love this Ethiopian restaurant. They have the absolute best flavors and injera. Granted I don’t like super spicy and I know some people prefer the food to be spicier, but with the quality and taste of the dishes, there’s nothing that’s not good on the menu. The man who owns and runs the place is just a nice, kind hearted person who always remembers you when you come back. One of my favorite restaurants in Denver!
REAL ETHIOPIAN FOOD Notes: • Weirdly, the menus on Google and Yelp are wrong. I have included the updated menu here. • They DO take cash, card, Apple Pay etc • No menu substitutions • Food made fresh to order, so allow time I ordered the Special Tibs and it was delicious. Not spicy but flavorful. The sides were fresh and tasty. One meal was enough to fill me up and I had extras for another meal. The Gomen Collard Greens was my favorite side. Parking: • Street parking only… not ideal but manageable. Obey the signs.
This place is simply spectacular. The food is excellent, the service was prompt and kind, the space is peaceful and thoughtfully decorated. The lentils were so good they made me want to weep with joy. Go have dinner here, tonight. You won’t regret it.Food: 5/5
Terrific food. Unpretentious atmosphere and service. Had the spicy lamb, mild chicken, and collard greens. Accepted CC just fine.Food: 5/5
I came in on a Sunday night around 8pm. They said they were closing early and tried to discourage me from sitting down at the restaurant. I asked if I could place an order to go and they again heavily discouraged me from doing so. Sad to see a restaurant that’s understaffed, but I recommend trying a different place until they are better staffed.
Great food and friendly service! Overall warm inviting atmosphere. Several reviews state that they only take cash- the we’re taking card when we went there March 2024.Food: 5/5
