I was drawn to Eunice and it’s contemporary interior design whilst browsing brunch places on Google Maps. Safe to say this place didn’t let me down on a gustatory note. The dishes are flavorful and plated beautifully. Only drawback was the slow service at my time of dining, but it’s hard to blame when there was only one waiter serving 6-7 tables. The water glass was never empty and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. I’d recommend Eunice as a great date spot or a place to take your friends and family. I would come back. Parking: Don’t forget to take a parking validation ticket inside Eunice.
I did not eat here so cannot comment on the food as others have. I’m from Louisiana so I may be hypercritical anyway. That said, the atmosphere, service and drinks were all outstanding. Their whiskey selection is pretty good and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the old fashioned. The only negative was we could not keep a tab open which seems really odd.
This place was amazing along with the staff Saturday lunch time 1/3/24 the manager Give us a good sample of raw scallops which was delicious and the bar waitress was the best she was great. This place was a low key great restaurant with the amazing food and appetizers the vibe was great for couples and just enjoy the day I decently will return for a date Nate with my wife her family is from Eunice. Parking: Parking was easy they pay for your parking.
Upscale atmosphere and good service from the wait staff. Can’t say the same about the food though. We ordered corn bread, roasted oyster, charred broccolini, shrimp etouffee. We only enjoyed corn bread, which was buttery, flaky, with a hint of salty. The broccolini was over charred and seasoning was greasy, heavy. Poor execution of such a simple vegetable. Oysters were not the freshest and the aftertaste was weird. Shrimp etouffee was underwhelming at best compared to one we had at a little diner. For the price, We expected better from such a fine dining spot. Our least favorite fine dining experience ever. Come for the atmosphere and service, but definitely not the food!
This past Saturday evening, our family celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday. Our group was a total of 9 people. We were seated in the garden room which is a room located off of the main dining room. It looks like it is set aside for larger parties. There was one other large party similar in size who shared the room with us. I originally made a reservation for 8 on Open Table about three weeks prior to our reservation. I ended up needing to change the reservation twice due ti fluctuating guest RSVP’s. The staff at Eunice was so accommodating, friendly, and professional over the phone. They made the updates with no issues and answered any questions I had. My brother drove my mother, my aunt, and myself to Eunice. We pulled up to valet at exactly 5:30 pm. The valet employees were very friendly and opened the doors for all of the ladies. Once inside, the hostess asked my name and immediately knew I had a reservation. Unlike other restaurants, we didn’t have to have a certain number of people present to be seated. She immediately whisked us away to our table and had the cake we brought in taken to be stored. Our waiter was Ishmael. Ishmael was very friendly and accommodating. He explained any menu questions we had and promptly got our drink and appetizer order in. Our food came out fairly quickly and tasted amazing. Our group decided to get a crispy fried oysters off the menu request at the time, cast iron cornbread, and Cajun duck poppers. I highly recommend all of the appetizers we had. Another group favorite was an alcoholic beverage called the Texas Ranger. It had tequila, pomegranate juice, and lime. For my entree I ordered rohan duck breast which came with 3 boudin balls. It was the perfect size and tasted so good. Other entrees ordered were shrimp étouffée, scallop risotto, gumbo bowl, herb roasted chicken, and drum gulf fish. No one had any complaints and everyone commented how much they loved their food. When it came to the cake we brought in, our waiter had candles added and it was cut into slices for our party and served. Eunice allows outside cakes and does not charge a fee. I asked before we brought it in. The service was top notch and well worth the price. Due to our party size, a 20% gratuity was already included which I found refreshing that the waiter made sure to tell me when I handed over my card. To give you an idea of how much a party of 9 would cost, after gratuity including additional I added, the total bill was $800.00. I would definitely recommend Eunice to anyone who asked and I will definitely be back again. Parking: Valet is the best, most convenient option. No cost. Just tip the valet The parking garage is connected to the office building Eunice is located in. Eunice will validate parking for you so it’s essentially free.
It was a great dinner. Our server Nathan provided such great service! Food is well thought of. He also surprised us with a great thought of providing us amazing dessert. I had a very awful shift at work and Nathan made our night with such a sweet gesture. We enjoyed our dining here! Oysters are so fresh and delicious. Will recommend and we will definitely be back. The ambience of the place is romantic and quite upscale.
Absolutely delicious, highly recommend. Upscale but relaxed atmosphere. High quality service. The Peruvian scallops are dynamite, roasted oysters are great it’s hard to find truly flavorful roasted oysters and these deliver and their chicken and sausage gumbo is hard to beat. There are two types of bread pudding in the world, really bad and amazing. This is the latter! Can’t wait to return! Only thing I wouldn’t rave about is their cocktails but we only tried 2. Not bad, just not great. Parking: The parking garage is paid but the restaurant validates.
Excellent lunch spot, date spot or whatever. The atmosphere was amazing, and the creole/Cajun dishes were sublime. I was very delighted with the appetizers as well as the main dish, the desserts were to die for, loved it. The servers were courteous, efficient and polite. Can't wait to return and I won't hesitate to recommending Eunice.
I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Upon pulling up to the restaurant, I could tell that this was going to be a nice experience. The decor is very light and clean. You definitely get the sense of dining in a 4 star establishment. Appetizers were excellent. The lump crab cake was flavorful. The skillet cornbread was AMAZING! The butter/syrup combination on the top really took it to another level . The Duroc breaded pork had a perfect consistency of breading. It was light. The oil used to fry it was fresh. The kale on top was delightful. Even for someone who isn't a fan of excessive greens, it was a bright spot of the dish. The best part of this experience was the Shrimp Étouffée. The roux was bold. The color of the roux was deep, which leads me to believe this flavor profile was achieved over a longer period of time rather than just thrown together last minute. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the fried shrimp on top created the most beautiful contrast of texture. Although it wasn't traditionally served with rice, the spinach pasta was more enjoyable. They are smaller bits of pasta, so you won't feel overwhelmed by excessive starch. The only negatives that I would give this restaurant are the following: The potato salad served with the bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo was not proportionate to the serving size of gumbo. This actually made the gumbo less enjoyable. The size of the crab cake for the price paid was disgraceful. Don't forget to save room for the bread pudding! It is out of this world.
Delicious! We were in town from Austin and had a great Sunday lunch! We tried a little of everything. Biscuits, frittata, shrimp and grits, and the cheeseburger to die for. Nate took great care of us! You should definitely ask for him when you visit. Hope to go back soon.
