The egg salad blt hit the spot I didn't even know needed to be hit. The bread was well toasted but still fluffy, & the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Best fries I've had in a long time. The outside seating was amazing! Perfect place on a sunny day because there are tons of umbrellas for shade. I will 100% be back. Ok now for even better ifs: the patio chairs could be a little more comfortable & I'll remember to ask for half ice on the latte next time, but those are very small knit picks because I enjoyed my time here immensly & can't wait to return!
Been here a couple times and honestly one of the best restaurants to eat in Boston literally my favorite spot! All the food is so delicious !! With great prices you can’t beat it! And the staff is so sweet and amazing happy I found this restaurant, I’ll be back later today!
I usually don’t leave any reviews, but this is the best omelette and potatoes I have ever eaten! The patio is gorgeous. I strongly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!!
Such a peaceful, clean and delicious jem it is... My hubby and i are strictly gluten, dairy and egg free diet. They accommodate our wish that we did not want to eat salad. We got cocpcnut shrip, veggie burger and son got breasfast burrito. All were so good!!
We have enjoyed eating outside here during the pandemic. They have had clear tents with heaters during the cold months. We have tended to go when it was 50 degrees or above. I enjoy the Forest Hills Triple Decker and often sub fruit for the fries. My husband likes the French toast. Good solid food.
I have not been to the restaurant since the before the pandemic and was happy to visit today! I was sitting at the entry door and it was very cold because they had both doors open. I attempted to close the door and the owner was not happy that I tried to close the door! He opened the door and said he would close the outside door, in which, it did not give the comfort and warmth I wanted while eating my lunch! Food is always good but will probably not come back! I did feel the owners welcoming!
Great place to have brunch. Nice outside patio. You can either order inside or by QR code and they bring the food to your table. We will definitely go back again! My French toast was delicious!
Man, I was so impressed by my last visit that I felt compelled to finally write a review. And, when my mother compliments a place more than once and doesn’t complain, you know it’s worth the coins. I’ve been to Evergreen 4 times now and it never disappoints. My mother and I found this spot when we were on our way to Faulkner. We were both really hungry and decided on the nearest food place, which happened to be Evergreen Eatery & Cafe. We ordered the Ultimate Evergreen omelette and the classic BLT. The omelette was very satisfying and the home fries that accompanied it was just right. The home fries alone earned them major brownie points. Now, the classic BLT. Just wow. Have you ever had something so heavenly that never tasted quite like the first time again? Such simple ingredients: bread brioche I think, tomatoes and bacon but, the BLT has been mind blowing EVERY SINGLE TIME. That is SO not an easy feat. My eyes have rolled in euphoria on the the first bite, each of the 4 times I’ve ordered it. And the fries, I’m dying to know where they’re form. So addictive ! The 3rd time I had the BLT, I ordered it with the homemade egg salad Forest Hills Triple Decker. The most recent order, I added avocado. It was just as delicious with the additions but the classic is just so dayum good, I’m going to order it as is moving forward. It’s doesn’t need all the extra because their execution has been perfection. No pressure : The BLT was reason enough to write a review but the Evergreen Avocado Toast that I ordered on my fourth visit just sent them over the top. All the ingredients on that toast melded so well together. It was fresh, delicate, but bursting with flavor. What was so impressive though was that it was take out and yet, the attention to detail was impeccable. The carved out lemon wedge and the mini flowers added such a beautiful touch. I’m convinced everything on the menu is going to be delicious. Highly recommended! Already plotting my next visit! Just hoping for a super nice day so we can enjoy our meal on the patio.
I've been to evergreen so many times over the years. It's always delivered on tasty dishes, competent wait staff and great prices. Recently though, I visited after a long time away and things have changed greatly and not for the better. They've moved from traditional wait staff to a more cafe style of dining where you order your food remotely or at the front counter. The staff is behind a huge glass pain which makes the process feel a little less genuine. The portions have gotten a lot smaller and they are no longer cleaning tables between outdoor patrons. Considering all of the positive experiences I've had here, I'm still rating pretty high but I hope the rising costs of operating don't encourage this company to continue their changes because they have negatively impacted my experience.
a bit expensive but very large menu with lots of fresh food options like smoothies. and they’ve recently expanded their menu part breakfast for even more variety. the patio is also gorgeous. very accessible from the green st stop on the orange line
