Express Employment Professionals

I finish all paperwork in 2016. They told me they had plenty of positions open. then i never recieced a call back. every time I would call express they would just tell me 2 "check in". Poor customer service and never had any positions open. In 2017 I received a phone call from the supervisor of the Valparaiso branch apologizing for the bad experience i had. She was very kind and willing to help me find a position that fits my needs. I would recommend speaking with Olivia if you are going to go through this temp agency.

Definitely take a job here if you do NOT like being paid. My husband worked for them for less than 2 months. All with the same company just being paid through Express. They screwed up his paycheck on almost every payday and at one point he wasn't paid at all. Their excuse is always that they are "doing their best". Unacceptable!! When he is finally paid each time they tax him at a much higher tax rate...don't break down what they are taking out....and then put it on his next pay stub and tax it AGAIN!! We were shorted several hundred dollars in taxes in less than two months! Awful!!!! Thankfully the company he worked with fought with Express...filed a complaint with the state..and at least got him paid, even if they taxed him at a much higher tax rate. He had several co-workers who experienced the same issues and it was ALL the fault of Express!

I called with the same day of applying online and they gave me an interview. They guy I met with already had several jobs lined up for me once I gave them my resume and other informaton relative to what is needed. I explained to them that I needed at least several days heads up to start a job as I am still employed with another company and they acknowledged that and did so. This company deals primarily with Evaluation Hires which is almost a direct hire where you have 90 days probation through the service and if the company likes you, they take you directly from Express and throw you onto their pay scale and thus you are hired into the job they place you. They explain that they still have some temp jobs but that is a given based on their type of business they deal with so either way it's a given. If you show up, given them the information they request, show up with all items they need and dress professional they will place you plain and simple. But, you still have to call and say your available just Luke any other job placement services.

They called me and I went in dressed very professional. There was a lot of people there that day and only a couple were dressed professional, most were wearing jeans, tattoos and messy hair. I completed all the paper work and met with a girl in back. She sent me a link for several tests called prove it! I completed all tests and scored pretty high on all them. She never called me and I keep checking in and they ignore me so I am going to say that this place is a waste of time. I was so excited, very motivated and positive that they would help me and they disappointed me. The only thing I can guess that blocked me is that I am in default of student loans and cannot consolidate and pay them until I am employed and this is what I was hoping for but there is no other reason not to hire me except I am not in the target group that companies get kickbacks for hiring such as welfare and people with felons. If you are on welfare and you have excellent credit and can pass all excel, word, typing test etc.. with great speed you may get a job through this agency but its a gamble and for me a bitter disappointment. I just want to work hard and pay my bills.

I feel like this place made me take a lot of proficiency and placement tests, and here I am, three months later, been checking in regularly and STILL no new job. Extremely disappointed.
