Perfect example of a "Great Sandwich Shop". As soon as you walk in, you have one cook for your whole visit. They'll greet you, take your order, make your order, have a small convo, and take your payment at the end. Sandwiches were amazing. I can't put into words how tasty they were. We had the Chicken Pesto Cutlet and the Italian Lover. They went heavy on the prosciutto and Roasted Red peppers without even asking for it which i love. The sandwiches are $20 but the portions are so big you'll eat it for your next meal too. Besides the amazing food, they treated me like a regular and that genuine, sincere hospitality is so hard to find in this city. I can see how they've been open since the 1900's.
Faicco’s is my go-to deli for when I want to present the most delicious meats on a charcuterie platter. Their staff is incredibly friendly, patient and eagerly willing to let you sample until you find exactly what you’re looking for each visit. While meats are sliced and packaged in the same area where other staff is assembling the fresh subs, I have never had a single issue being gluten free with how the designated staff handles the deli meat. While they do not have gluten free bread options for their subs, there are zero complaints when you can purchase the same deli meats here and safely assemble your own at home! After witnessing the impressive sub assembly line in person, I purchased The Italian sub for a family member via Door Dash approximately $30 total and it was the most beautiful sub I’ve ever seen. In addition to the impeccable flavor that they reported, they noted how fresh the ingredients were and the generous serving of each ingredient. If there were ever an occasion that warranted splurging on a sandwich, it would definitely be at this place. Dietary restrictions: Staff safely handles slicing and packaging of deli meats from a gluten allergy perspective despite being near subs with gluten. No gluten free bread options for subs as of December 2023.
Best sandwich I’ve ever had. Also the biggest. This is two meals for sure. Very friendly staff as well. Had a nice conversation with the kind gentleman as he crafted my Spicy Italian to perfection. Izzy is the man.Food: 5/5
We visited NYC in Oct and were recommended to come here by our tour guide. This place is a must! Everything was so fresh. My husband and I shared an Italian Special. He wanted to stop in before we left to the airport but we were unable. We are missing this now all the way from CA!Food: 5/5
This place has to be the best Italian Deli in Manhattan. I've had several sandwiches from here & they all were of this caliber. You have to try Faicco's. You will not be disappointed!Food: 5/5
Literally the BEST sandwiches in NYC. They have been around since 1900 and know what they are doing. If you are in Manhattan you have to come here. I also want to say that the staff here is AMAZING. They are super nice and fast! From the time you order your sandwich to the time they are done making it is maybe 3 mins total. That’s how fast they are. The sandwiches are huge and made with the freshest ingredients. It’s a deli style so no place to sit and eat but perfect to take the sandwich on the go. I highly recommend this spot.
hmmm. I wanted to love this sandwich. I was disappointed, though, at least in their Italian Special. Reasonable portion of coldcuts; however, the bread was a bit too crusty for my liking. The most disappointing of all was the muzz: very dry and thinly layered--it cannot hold a candle to the delis across the Hudson for disclosure, I'll admit my geographic bias on that front. Not a bad sandwich, but not an Italian deli that I'll be revisiting for a $20+ sandy.
We got there 5 minutes to close. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and took and made our sub. This is a deli / meat market. Amazingly clean and organized store. Sandwiches are made to order. My wife and i had the chicken pesto sub, which was more than enough to split. We loved it. We definitely go back there to enjoy another sandwich.
A true experience at Faicco’s! The place is beautiful and has a great variety of Italian snacks and ingredients! They were pumping out chicken cutlets that looked out of this world so we had to try a chicken cutlet with pesto sandwich, add homemade sun dried tomatoes! The meatball sub is probably in my top 3 best! The bread they use is so fluffy and fresh! The dudes working there are super friendly and pleasantly chatty. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the city.
Nice and fulfilling sandwiches they don’t hold back on portion sizes if the mood for nice sub check out this placeFood: 4/5
