I had very plesent experience. Paul and the rest of the team is very responsive and avilable. When heating element broke down it was fixed within 24h. Rent vs qualitu of the unit was very good and nothing could beat the location :

From the start of our experience, Ben and Paul were kind and pleasant to work with. They helped us to resolve any issues only a few maintenance issues, nothing major pretty swiftly. Although our apartment was pretty small, the price and the location were unbeatable in the heart of Back Bay.

There's a saying that landlords are never seeing heaven, and that certainly may be the case with Paul Gleason. When I signed the lease, he stated in writing he wouldn't enter the property without my permission. When I moved out, he said he'd show the apartment to whoever he wants because "I own the building, and I can do what I want" Paul's words Moreover, it took several attempts to actually get my security deposit. When I asked for the security deposit 3 weeks after moving out, they tried to pull the classic "it was already mailed" trick. Even though I live 1 mile away from the apartment, I waited for 2-3 MORE weeks and never received anything. I had to pester them to pick up my security deposit, Regarding the apartments, you can actually hear every footstep that people make. If your upstairs neighbors are playing music, then you're gonna be listening too. It also took several weeks for them to repair 1 broken washer that had to be shared among tens of residents. In short, unless you have the patience to deal with an awful landlord/property management company, do yourself a favor and don't live here!

Be careful of what Paul tells you - he tends to go back on his word and becomes very hostile if you call him out. If you don't know the residential real estate world then he will try and use that against you and say "that's the way it is". Clearly, this has worked against a lot of people. I would warn anyone going into business with him.

I am very grateful to Paul, a stuff of Fairfield Realty, for introducing me the apartment when I had to leave my previous apartment due to my landlord's death. The apartment I lived in for more than 7 years made my Boston life special. All stuff members are really nice and kind. I highly recommend to contact them if you are looking for a nice place to live.

Ya know what? I'm going to give an honest review. I was referred to Fairfield after my boyfriend had a good experience finding decent, affordable apartments in Back Bay. I found a nice 3br in the South End on Columbus 3br, 1b $2400 and honestly, it was a good experience for the 2yrs I was there. There were some maintenance issues that weren't TOO pressing that needed to be addressed, but they were eventually handled. My roommates were more annoyed with them than I was.

As I write this there is water coming through my apartment roof...so it is safe to say I'm not pleased. Less so about the water, stuff happens, but more so about the complete lack of maintenance personnel or emergency response. This is the 2nd time I've tried to call an emergency maintenance request, the first time they just never called back, this time I'm just sitting waiting while water, which has already ruined a couch and a table, casually drips into buckets as the big crack in the ceiling gets bigger. You get what you pay for in life. There is a reason these apartments are so cheap.

Really happy with this team and my experience renting with them was overall fair and they were conscientious and responsive property managers. I have recommended them to close friends and they have had a great experience too. Thank you to Paul Gleason for being a great and honest guy
