Overall it's not bad and I visit it quite often. However, I found a pasta which was expired 6 months ago on a shelf, I took them out, and informed one of the employees. She apologized, promised to inform the responsible person and remove them from the store. The next day the expired product was on the shelf again.
I coming to the store once a week, usually take my chihuahua with me, which is cleanest home dog, every time people was very nice there. But today, some non stable slimy girl followed me around the store and taking with very bad attitude, now 12:30 pm and my day is ruined by this woman. People from the store keep her out from m, but she was screaming and behaving completely not normal.
I think Fairway has more selection and fresher meats and seafood than Whole Foods. The two markets are in close proximity. I've tried a few of Whole Foods' 365 and uncommon brand products and most of them tasted pretty bad. Fairway has more sale items. Regular prices can be higher or lower than Whole Foods. Checkout at Whole Foods, on average, has been pretty time consuming. It's been pretty fast at Fairway. If I had to choose one place to go for groceries, it would be Fairway.
This location has a much bigger foot print than the first store on 74th Street. So for the most part you experienced less people bumping into you while you're shopping which is very nice. The staff is really very nice in this Fairway. Unlike zabars they actually respect your personal space they're not bumping into you on their way to get in their stuff done which is nice. They're also very pleasant. The only downside about this store is that there's less of a selection here then there is at the original store and I found the prices to be a little more expensive. Other than that it's better in every way.
Great collection as always. East side store is a bit cramped compared to the west side one but still very good. Wish that the deli service was just as responsive but still not bad. Will certainly recommend
I love this grocery store. They have everything you could possible need. Even organic stuff. There produce is high quality and the staff is very helpful.
The prices seem to have gone up in the last few years, especially compared to Whole Foods, which is just a few blocks away. I used to notice that I would pay more at WF buying the same things back in the day, but that's not the case anymore. Even items that are the exact same brand are more expensive at this grocer. I wanted to buy chicken and pork today and noticed a lot of the products were expiring in just a few days. I imagine they don't sell enough product and so items sit on the shelf for a fairly long time. The price / quality of oranges and lemons in bags is also not great. Organic products are very expensive. And something always seems to go wrong at self-checkout, slowing down the process.
It has all the products that you would need, for recipes, fresh produce, home entertainment and celebrations!! Love this store.
There is an impressive selection of coffee beans, baked goods, and other groceries at this supermarket. The lines to checkout can be quite long.
A huge selection of snacks, baked goods, and other groceries at this supermarket. You can find the intensity of Takis delivered here every week!
