Dr. Koda is everything I could ever want in a healthcare provider. She made me feel comfortable and truly cared for throughout my visit. The staff at the clinic is also very kind. My only complaint is that making an appointment is practically impossible. I’ve called the clinic 6 times during business hours, but I’ve been sent straight to voicemail each time. The online scheduling system also appears to be down, which is a huge letdown.
I'm averaging 5 stars for the last 20 years and negative star for recent experience. After I received a letter about Dr. Booker's retirement there was no follow up or apparent planning on this office's part for where his patients would get coverage. After three phone calls inquiring about a new doctor, any doctor, I'm still waiting to hear back and was told it would be another week. The lack of organizational follow-up is a special concern for a doctor's office. I'll search for a new practitioner.
I'd been a patient there for 20+ years and can say that over the last couple of years the service has taken a deep nose dive. They don't answer phones during business hours, and are more interested in maintaining their bureaucratic practices than treating the patient. You will wait. You won't be heard, and they will make you come in for unnecessary "check ins" just to get a prescription refilled. Meanwhile, really sick people can't get in because there are no appointments? BROKEN.
They don't answer the phone during business hours. It took four days from the time I left a voicemail with their answering service saying that my prescription was running out for them to return the call only to tell me that I have to come in or do a video call to renew the prescription. I'm done. I'll find a new GP.
They got bought by United Healthcare. Our doctor left the practice. And frankly, the quality of staff and services offered has plummeted. Even trying to get any information from them for our new doctor was like pulling teeth. We went here for a decade and were very happy. It's sad to see it go downhill like this. It used to be a great office. Dr. Booker was the best.
The service is really bad since they got bought out. They never answer the phones and when you finally speak to someone days later, the staff is rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend to anyone anymore. We use to feel like we were taken care of but now we feel like a nuisance. We are taking our power back and moving on.
I was a patient of Family Medical Group for years, this medical office has taken turn to the worst last year. I did my tests and waited weeks for the doctor's follow-up just to find put that the doctor is no longer works there and the stuff didn't even bother to transfer my case to another doctor despite my repeated messages over mychart - their "preferred method of communication". Office stuff is irresponsible and plainly rude at times. When I asked to be transferred to an office manager they sent my call to a non-answering extension 2 times in a row, while perfectly knowing that office manager was off that day. Apparently they think it is a good way to get rid of an "annoying patient" that wants to get to the bottom of their medical issue... I'm transferring my family to a different office where stuff and doctors are actually about treating their patients and not only about sending invoices.
Spent an hour trying to reach them during “open hours” to give authorization to refill by prescription. After I already left messages when I called on Sunday and never received a call back. I have been sent to voicemail 5 times while they are open. Bad customer service.
I was a happy patient of FMG for more than 20 years, but they have taken a steep downhill trajectory these past several months. From the rude and unhelpful desk staff to the unprofessional and astonishingly unkind bully of a nurse who refused to wear her PPE safely mask pulled down under her nose in the tiny exam room with me today, my most recent experiences with this clinic have been too upsetting to ignore. I felt like nothing more than an inconvenience during my last visit, though they were the ones who asked me to come in for a follow up after treatment elsewhere. FMG still has some excellent providers, if you can run the gauntlet of hostile staff and make it that far.
Staff does not have good skills for customer service. This does not feel like a place which makes any effort to be a caring, healing environment. The staff seems only concerned about collecting your money. They do not have a soft or gentle touch. We have had to wait 1 hour multiple times for out appointment with no apology by staff or provider. Amazing this clinic stays in business. The NP is nice but let's face it, the providers are choosing the staff so poor staff reflects on the provider. I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a caring environment for health care.
