My family has been coming here for 10 years. This one star rating is for Dr. Mircea and for her ALONE.Dr. Mircea refused to order a MRI for my daughter we already had an X-ray from a ten day old knee injury my child is limping badly.When she came in the exam room clearly she had not read the check in sheet she attempted to examine the wrong knee.This doctor is not a people person. For the past ten years all the PA”s were great the front desk receptionists and nurses were great. PA”s there are much more professional than this doctor!Told me she could not order a MRI.We have an orthopedic appointment need the MRI so we would be prepared.

If you are a full-time working parent and Alexandrian resident thinking about becoming a new patient here, take 3 minutes to read this review so that you do not waste your precious time here.
I've literally never written a review online, but please, let me share my experience so that you won't have to waste your time.
We were looking at making this our new family practitioner, but administratively, the office is so poorly run that we had to drive there twice, and we didn't even get to see the doctor.
They have a mandatory policy that if you do not arrive 30 minutes early, the doctor will not see you. As a new Alexandrian resident, I sent both my daughter's and my entire medical history to the office manager prior to our first appointment. We arrived 30 minutes early, but were not seen until 20 minutes after the appointment time. They took my blood and examined my daughter, but had to reschedule my appointment because we were told that no doctor could see us back to back.
So remember, I filled out all new patient paperwork, and they took my blood, and they have my previous family history. At this point, they have everything they could have for an existing patient, except new doctor's notes.
I was on my way to the appointment from work, and was stuck in traffic. I called twice to let them know I was on my way, but would be 5 minutes late. The woman on the phone said, "If you're not here at 2, the doctor won't see you." I explained I tried to call, but couldn't get through. Then I was told, "You should have been here 30 minutes ago." I explained that all of my paperwork was with the office, and they had my blood! I (admittedly angrily) asked to speak to the office manager, but he would not get on the phone. The woman on the phone said, "You can talk to him when you get here," to which I replied, "I'm not going to drive all the way there just to talk to the office manager if I won't be seen by a doctor," to which she replied, "Oh, I thought you said you were on your way here...."
I was on my way there. I was not going to continue wasting my time to argue the point that I did my due diligence to communicate, prepare and arrive as closely to on time as I could if I was not going to see a doctor.
Needless to say, I had rescheduled two afternoons in my calendar, and only my daughter was seen.
To me, if a doctor doesn't recognize the importance of the bedside manner of her staff, that's a direct reflection on her discernment and decision-making. (Two qualities which are important, especially in a physician!)
I was recommended here through my insurance and my benefits portal through work, and I will be sure to correct any misconceptions there that my colleagues should have to deal with this time-sucking train wreck of an office. They'd be better off using an urgent care clinic.

Dr. Lugo at Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria has been my Family Practitioner for over twenty years with good reason. FMAA does not fuss about the health insurances they accept. Most importantly, I’m always treated well and respectfully by the highly skilled and professional staff.

Dr. Mircea always takes good care of me and gives me a good plan of how to face what I need to do.

Great service all in one place , from visit to lab test, excellent and bilingual doctors ,there is no place in Alexandria that offer this level of excellently and attention. You will walk out knowing exactly your sickness and how to treat it.
