Dollar store and Walmart of health care!! Convenience was only pro about this clinic. I do not recommend this clinic if you are looking to find a good physician who can help you stay healthy or improve your conditions. I only used this clinic for convenience since they have a walk in hours almost everyday. I’m back with my old physician and feeling much confident about my health. This clinic is like a Walmart and a dollar store in health care. No quality but quick service. You will be lucky at first few times but they change pretty quick after while. All they see is dollar sign on your forehead. They all seem so eagle to put you on some sort of prescriptions and you are not allowed to discuss more than one concern at a time. At my last visit I was told to ask questions about lab results and told to make another appointment for a refill order request. They delayed and refused writing necessary letters for work and school. If your only interest is to be on as many prescriptions possible to maintain your health, this is the right clinic for you.
i wouldn’t recommend. the doctor that i saw was not professional in the slightest . doctor was very condescending and judgmental my FIRST visit‍. im taking a gap year, and still trying to figure out my major, and apparently that offended her that I didn’t go to college straight out of high school? ok… I just graduated this year . then she began to tell my mother that “it’s a bad decision” and asked her “why do you let her do this?” excuse me what???? the audacity to comment on someone’s life that you just met is uncalled for. mind you, i have terrible anxiety and depression, so to press someone about college, and talking down on them, especially with DIAGNOSED depression, is absolutely awful. and tbh it ruined my day. if she was mindful and understanding, she would know that pursuing school with mental illnesses can be tough. thought a “doctor” would be more than understanding about that. guess not. check your staff because you got nerve to judge someone’s personal life. that first visit was enough for me. wont be returning. be humble and don’t judge, you never know what someone is going through.
Had my first appointment with Dr. Angela Davis-Brown, at their Churchman's Rd. office. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The wait time was minimal and prior to my scheduled time. Dr. Brown was outstanding. She listened and was genuinely interested in my medical history. She was equally interested in my current well-being and exercise program. I am 65 years old, and I am so impressed with my new PCP. Highly recommend Dr. Brown.
We usually see the Nurse Practitioner Amanda and have occasionally seen Dr Gill for our baby since birth and have been very happy with their care. We are always seen promptly and I feel listened to during our appointments. I’ve had good experience with the receptionists too and would recommend this Drs office.
I waited an hour half for the walk-in. Waiting patiently in the doctor office just to told I will not be seen. They billed my insurance company for a visit that wasn’t didn’t even happen. The CMA Carla is very unprofessional how she handled the situation along with the doctor. Just to be called a “fool” is quite insulting. Basically having a doctor assumed your ethnicity and make a mockery of your health is very absurd. If they really knew what my profession is they wouldn’t have acted so unprofessional an unmannered when a patient is in their presence. I advise you look somewhere else because this isn’t the place you want these people to care for you.
Staff is condescending, lack manners, are argumentative, and the behavior is tolerated by the health providers. Staff, including the healthcare providers, treat the patient like uneducated trash regardless of how knowledgeable the patient is regarding their own health. Prepare to be belittled and receive mediocre care at best, especially if you have an undesirable insurance plan. I assure you that there are better options available with providers that have the bedside manner and provide the care and respect patients deserve. I went here due to convenience. So glad I moved on!
This location is Horrible! Currently searching for a new PCP after 9 yrs. Things get worst in every visit. Today I spent over 1 hr waiting for Dr. Mellius. After more than 1 hr of waiting I asked the nurse how much longer I have to wait and her answer was the Dr. Is currently with her patient from 2 hrs prior of my app time and still has 2 more patients ahead of me and that the waiting time would be another hour or 2! Nurse said she takes an awfully long time with her patients. I wish I knew that before. I would of never scheduled an app. I left cause my daughter also had an app elsewhere. So I basically drove 20min to get there and spent over 1 hr waiting time for NOTHING! There's also new staff and not very friendly!
I've only been once and I literally transfered because of Dr.Cheryl Bollinger!!! I've NEVER in my life had a doctor that actually LISTENED to you no matter how long it takes!! Yes you will have a longer wait time if going to see her but it's worth it!!! She actually cares! If she leaves SO WILL I!!!
We started going to Family Medicine when we moved to Wilmington in 2014 and the handful of times I'd ever had to go in maybe 1-2 times a year for routine checkups or a cold they were fine. You were in, you were out, everything was fine. We even kept going after we moved to Newark. I'm done with them now though. The last 2-3 visits have felt like they can't move you through fast enough. The office staff doesn't follow through. We've been billed incorrect amounts. It's just been a complete flip from the experiences we've had for years. The final straw for me came after my last visit: I had a follow-up appointment for an old injury to my left shoulder, but had injured my foot and right shoulder playing soccer the day before the appointment and that I dared ask Dr. Gill to look at those new injuries during this appointment was like I asked him for his first born child. He'd been in the room all of two minutes and couldn't wait to get to the next thing. The obvious outcome was going to be a prescription for physical therapy, and this took all of three more minutes to examine. Sure enough, he wrote a script for physical therapy, first for the foot, then for the shoulders, but I realized a couple weeks later the script for the shoulders was written incorrectly - the old injury to my left shoulder was written for my right, and there was no mention of my new right shoulder injury. I called on a Friday to get the prescription corrected, but on Monday hadn't heard back. A call on Monday showed they had no record of my Friday call but they'd get it corrected and call me when it was. Tuesday morning, still no call and when I called again, I was told Dr. Gill had no recollection of discussing the new shoulder injury and I'd have to make new appointment to discuss it. Maybe if he hadn't been in such a hurry to get out of the room he wouldn't have written the script wrong to begin with or would remember our discussion. I made it clear if they'd like to keep me as a patient, I needed to hear from Dr. Gill. I was told I could make an appointment. That was it. Some of the PAs at Family Medicine are great. The couple times I've seen Amanda Bostick she's fantastic, but the lack of followthrough from the office staff and inattention from Dr. Gill are enough for me. I'm done with them.
I have been going to the Dr since my old doctor left and I was pleased for awhile .but now she doesn't listen to me. She up my blood pressure pills.cause my blood pressure was high. It was high cause I was still in pain with my shoulder situation but she didn't listen to a word I said.and won't give me anything for pain. So I stayed in continuous pain
