I won't be going back to this office. Lack of communication was the main problem, to put it nicely. Don't bother leaving any messages, they don't return phone calls. Your Healthcare is not in their best interest, your money is all they care about. Expect to be on hold an excessive amount of time and for receiving an itemized receipt to take an excessively long time. Front staff is extremely rude. Additionally, I think it's important to know what you will be responsible for paying before you are billed at least a ballpark estimate and that is not provided at this facility. Not a very forward-thinking place. It took an excessively long amount of time the day of my visit to get my insurance in the system as well.
Would not be surprised if they were evaluated for fraud. They aren’t thorough at all. They’re happy to charge for whatever exam and don’t do a thorough job. Nor do they give referrals once you’ve examined. I’ve had multiple billing issues with them too.
I scheduled a visit for my spouse to go get an annual physical. When he arrived for the visit the doctor said he was not there for a physical and would book him in for two weeks later, but still proceeded with the appointment. He was charged for the appointment, as was our insurance and rebooked for the physical that was originally requested. When blood work was done at the second appointment he was called to schedule a THIRD visit to review the results. We have never been to a doctor who did not automatically send the results through mychart, email or other communication. I understand coming in if there was significant issues with the blood work to discuss further steps, but at least communicate that. This facility seems like a giant money grab. When I called the receptionist she stated that they “never received any money from us, only the insurance company”. So you withhold patient information? Not to mention that the money owed was for a visit late February, which essentially we were double charged for anyway. Do not worry, we have every intention of paying the facility. I work in insurance and healthcare and understand fully what taking advantage of a PATIENT AND AN INSURANCE COMPANY looks like. Additionally, the customer service was absolute garbage. The receptionist hung up on me not once, not twice, but three times. The third call the actual doctor answered, laughed at us for questioning the bill and exclaimed that he has much more money, and to trust him that he’s not “going to get rich” off of our extra appointment. Then he instructed us to never call again and then hung up a FOURTH time. We will not return and I suggest you do not either. Also, still waiting on the blood work results.
Truly do not understand how my 19 year old son, who is a Medicaid patient, is consistently being charged a cash-only $2 co-pay on every visit?? Dr Ferrer does not read his patient or visit notes prior to a new appointment. Was told we were getting a physical 3 visits ago- by the Doctor- still no physical. Also, why would any GP schedule appointments every 3 weeks? He is a nice doctor, but he doesn't listen and is judgmental in ways a doctor should not be.
Never will come here again! If you need a real doctor don’t come here. I needed to get physical exam for my insurance and get a tetanus shot. Scheduled an appointment , when I came they didn’t have tetanus shots and told me that my physical exam is covered 100% by my insurance. Had to come other day to get my results and to get tetanus shot. Was waiting for over 40 minutes and they told me again that they don’t have a shot what was the point of an appointment? and sent me to get it in Costco. Plus gave a bill that I came second time for picking up my result, they told my insurance that was an emergency visit...
I recently started coming here. I have my fair share of different doctors. I am very well pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Ferrer and his wife. When the nurse checks my vitals and gets me set up, I have flash backs of when my grandmother used to care for me when I was sick. I definitely feel that family vibe at this place. The Doctor is very knowledgeable and knows definitions of procedures I received in Europe as a child and no other doctor ever knew what I was talking about. They have definitely earned my trust when it comes to my well being.
At first, I liked this family- operated doctor’s office. However, I feel that since it is family-operated, the doctor is subject to no accountability. I tried for two weeks to refill a prescription for a drug I have been prescribed for at least five years. I’ve only been going to Dr Ferrer for six months, since moving to the area. They gave me the run-around for 4 phone calls, then told me I have to be seen to get it refilled. I had to pay for three office visits just to get high blood pressure medication, which I’ve been on for at least five years. So, too many office visits are required to get very basic care. Also, Arthur Ferrer is the only doctor I’ve ever been to who failed to introduce himself at the initial appointment. He’s very impersonable and unprofessional. Can’t wait to find a real doctor.
I have been going to Dr Ferrer for about a decade now. I love that he takes me seriously and treats me like I know what I'm talking about instead of making me feel like an object. His practice is a family practice with his wife and kids and I've even met his granddaughter. He is great with my kids and my appointments almost always go as scheduled. They are excellent at fitting us in when we need a sick appointment, too. Its just all around a comfortable environment, I couldn't recommend him more!
I was looking for a new family doctor in the Aurora/East Denver area and found Dr. Ferrer through a Google search. I had called at least 4 other doctor offices only to find that either they weren't accepting new patients or that I couldn't get an appt without at least a month wait. Dr. Ferrer was able to see me with only a 2 day wait. The best part is that he is a super nice guy and he spent the time needed to really listen to my issue. I never felt rushed. Great experience overall with both Dr. Ferrer and his receptionist/medical assistant. I've found my new doctor!
The worst customer service ever. They ordered a test in the lab. They charged for it, and they didn't pay it. I have called and email the bill, and they keep ignoring. The las person I spoke with didn't even let me explain, and hung up on me. The absolutely worst customer service ever.
