Fargo Police Department

As much as it pains me to say this I have to. FPD fail to recognize domestics! I have a statement from a FPO responding to call, "It should be noted there are no audio recordings for this incident. Based on the original call and what was given to officers in the dispatch, it didn't BELIEVE this would end up...being...an ...actual domestic violence case based on the individual JUST being woken up with something being poured over her face." That's right, you read it correct. Just being woke up to a man over her pouring a unknown substance over her face after scaling the patios breaking in a residence she resides and on the lease alone. Then the officers allowed this man to take various furniture even a bed and warned him. Great work! Then in the future continues as no one has done anything almost to victimize for those boring just domestics calls they all laugh at! Serve and protect. FPD are unable to assess a domestic situation adequately and it can cause extreme damage to ones family! I wonder if they ever investigate to see patterns and help their officers notice abuse? One officer said did he hit you? Is this the only form of abuse these officers are trained in? Maybe nurses should be incorporated in domestics their assessments skills are top notch I hear!

I give the FPD 5 stars only because it's a job I would never want to do and I respect the work they do. However, I was recently involved in a hit and run. I was able to get the license plate of the other driver along with a description of the driver and vehicle. 23 days later the officer assigned went to the address of where the vehicle was registered and of course the owner denied ever being in am accident. 23 days to knock on a guys door. When I followed up I was told the officer wasn't able to investigate because he was in training for a couple weeks. I could turn an insurance claim in on my own policy but I have a $1,000 deductible and the damage won't exceed that by much.

If i could give 0 stars i would i am victim of stolen property and worrking the case and the dectative that is worki ng on it. Theif who pawned my car stereo and other items. Fargo police didnt even go pick up the pawned items. Poor dectative work FPD. Brent malone was the dectative. Very poor response time to emails date back couple months ago he didnt even reply to them.

We have had multiple encounters with the Fargo PD. Shout out to them for Putting their lives on the line to defend us all. Most Encounters have been Timely and Effective. Extremely Helpful Always! Overworked, Underpaid & Underappreciated by most. Pretty much their lives. Took them 4 hours to respond to a stolen vehicle call we had. I was upset till they told me why. (homicide) Some Emergencies take precedence. Most don't understand due to the highly "all about me" society we live in. GREAT JOB GUYS/GALS, YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!
