Really neat little park. Nice eating areas. Nice feel ...until you sit down after sunset and see some pretty big rats running around. They didn't seem to be bothered by us. They kept coming closer.
It's a wonderful park. I was able to see the Japanese prime minister escorted by police in a bullet proof SUV.
The word ‘square’ in English can be used in several seemingly contradictory ways. Are we square or do I owe you something? Is it hip to be square or is it just in the eye of the beholder? Will we ever get to the root of this, so to speak? While these may all be abstract concepts, Farragut offers us the opportunity to see ‘squareness’ with our own two eyes four if you’re wearing glasses. Who knows, we may catch it on a day where there’s not a cloud in the sky. For my money, that’s as good as it gets.
Beautiful, open air park and square in the heart of downtown DC just blocks from Dupont Circle and the White House. The square is named after Civil War Admiral David Farragut who helped command key naval victories across battles in the Atlantic and New Orleans. During the day, it’s filled with tourists and locals alike, especially near lunchtime for the flurry of food trucks. Stop by in the summer to catch a movie on Friday evenings or some midday yoga as sponsored by the Golden Triangle. And during the springtime, be sure to see the beautiful tulips on the south side of the square.
An absolutely gorgeous, verdant, urban park that is a wonderful place to come sit at a bench, drink your morning coffee, eat a meal, or just gather your thoughts and take a quick break from the DMV pace.
Very clean, green and nice place to sit, relax, read a book, snack while watching the busy movements in the city.
Always crowded during food truck season, but a nice place to enjoy the crossword on a park bench. When really crowded, folks will sit on the grass or the statue, as well. A good place to enjoy some sunshine in the heart of the city. Conveniently located right next to the Red and Orange line Metro stops with the same name, too.
A beautiful park to treat your eyes and some good food trucks to treat your appetite.
Peacefull way of spending time with friends. Seatings are very comfy and surroundings lively without being noisy. Must try chilling there
Farragut Square Park is located right across the street from the Farragut North metro station. It's a nice park to sit in. There's a lot of foot traffic because it's just about two blocks from the White House, so it's very busy.
