One of the best sandwiches in NY. I love how Fat Cat Kitchen uses fresh ingredients and bakes all of their breads in-house. I also liked the banana bread. I could tell it had a lot of banana inside, which made the bread so soft. Hope to come back!
So far I’ve only had the grilled chicken sandwich from here but it’s so so good. The ciabatta is soft and crispy at the same time, and the romesco sauce is super flavorful. Got a chocolate chip cookie too and the salt on the cookie is a really nice touch. It was amazing and it wasn’t even warm or heated up. One could only imagine..
Love this little place. Super nice staff. Mostly for takeout, only a counter with four seats. Highly recommend the avocado toast and the FCK sandwich. They also serve Stumptown coffee from the Pacific Northwest. For those who like sweets, they have amazing cookies as well as edibles if that is your preference!
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this on Yelp when I was looking for a quick breakfast and coffee spot here in East village! The cafe itself is quite small, but can seat a few. It's more of a grab and go place, but I was able to enjoy my breakfast at the cafe. Lemme tell you that their cookies here are out of this world!! I got the 3 for $9.50 deal and I absolutely LOVED them! I got 2 sea salt chocolate chip cookies and 1 dark chocolate with peanut butter cookie. I loved both equally but maybe have a slight preference to the sea salt one! These cookies are huge but if you have very little self control like I do, you'd probably eat at least one if not more :P They had the perfect chewy texture and a slight crunch on the outside. I think the sea salt really brought out the chocolate flavors and thought it paired really well with chocolate chip cookie. I also ordered the FCK sandwich was pretty good too! However, I'd give the sandwich a 4/5 since it's not the way I would personally like my eggs cooked. They bake the eggs into this square shape and it's good, but I just prefer runny egg yolk kinds. The avocado, chipotle aioli sauce, and beans worked really well together though. The bread could be a little better also since it's a bit dry. The sandwich is HUGE though. It's very tall haha so you probably need a fork and knife to attack this one. If not, it can get really messy. Their cold brew coffee was great too. Overall, this is a really awesome breakfast spot and i will most certainly come back for those cookies!!
If you are looking for the most delectable and scrumptious breakfast/lunch sandwiches and salads, then look no further than the amazing Fat Cat Kitchen in the East Village. Their combination of ingredients and flavors are incredible, enticing you to return for multiple visits. Make sure not to depart without one of their ever popular chocolate chip cookies and ice coffee. You won’t be sorry you indulged. Enjoy!
That breakfast sandwich. That curry chicken salad wrap. Those chocolate chip cookies with sea salt. The owners, a husband and wife, are both classically-trained in culinary arts. Don't let the small storefront fool you. This is gourmet food. The. Food. Is. Excellent. I can't be more clear.
This little place has a simple menu, but the food is great. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which really packed a punch and the ingredients were as fresh basil can be. The staff was very friendly too.
The avocado toast is delicious. Friendly service and good music. I immediately regret writing this review because I don't want to have to wait in line here, lol.
Chicken sandwich was amazing, very fresh. Takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare but definitely worth the wait.
Oh man. A little gem. You want a high quality sandwich? How about some in house banana bread? This husband wife team brings harmony to your belly!
