Fat Cats Salt Lake City

This is the best bowling place you can go to. The ambience is awesome. The music is great. The food is AMAZING and you can get a lot of it for cheap. There's an arcade with all the best games you can imagine, old school and new stuff. Plus they have all sorts of rewards like when you get strikes you can get free food or arcade vouchers. It's so freaking fun and affordable!

The staff put other groups on both sides of us despite the alley being largely empty. One group had players that would stand on our side of the approach while their balls rolled down. The other group had a small child that kept resetting the pinsetter in the middle of our approach which led to needing the scores adjusted, which took forever because we couldn't do it ourselves and everyone at the desk was occupied. All of this is fine unless you're selling bowling by the hour, and our time was not reimbursed. Besides that, the lanes weren't fastened to the floor right, so they'd shake every time the ball landed which I found very distracting. The price is very high for the experience and there are other facilities that will get my patronage.

My kids LOVE this place. Bowling, Mini Golf arcade games and 1 billiard table. Sometimes there is a wait to bowl, black-lit mini golf decorations are in poor repair, although the actual greens are better than they have been in 3 years. Getting tickets from the arcade games and choosing a prize is always a favorite.

Lots of fun for our whole family. Loved that they had bumpers that come up automatically depending on whose turn it is, very convenient for parents who don't want them for the whole family! Only reason not 5 stars is that the smallest shoe size they carry is a size 8 and we needed just a bit smaller than that which usually doesn't seem to be an issue anywhere else! They still let him bowl in his normal shoes, which was awesome! It's just that the shoes are one of his favorite parts! Still, so much fun!

We let our kid take a couple turns bowling on my game and the supervisor came out and told him to stop because he didn’t explicitly pay for the game. So lame. Bad experience. We were just trying to have a casual, fun family outing and fat cats had to throw the book at us. We spent more than $50 on food, bowling, and games. We were treated like freeloaders. If I want that experience I’ll go down to the discount bowling alley. Actually they would probably be more accommodating.
