Until Fava Pot, I hadn’t tried Egyptian food. I love Middle Eastern food and good old American Southern cooking like fried chicken and okra. Some of Fava Pot’s dishes are to me a combination of both. Also, the quality of their ingredients is the best. I have 10 meals so far and all a 5 star.
Most wonderful Egyptian food. Tight tiny beefy dolmades bursting with flavor. Best tzatziki ever. Feta cheese pie raised to new heights. Go there. You will not regret it! Al hamdulillah.
Amazing food, amazing service. A must try! Hard to choose a favorite dish but omg those potatoes on the chicken kabob dish are amazing.

Delicious food! Impeccable quality, and the portions are very generous! We dined at the Union Market location and couldn’t have been more pleased. Lovely, friendly staff. Thanks for preparing a delicious meal for us. Next time we’re in DC, we’re stopping at Fava Pot—probably every day.

Incredibly delicious authentic Egyptian food. From street food and home cooking, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend it. The host/owner is very friendly with a warm presence. You will love this place.
