Fava Pot Truck

This is a very nice and cozy little eatery that serves authentic Egyptian food. I had their koshari bowl lentils, chickpeas, spicy tomato sauce, pasta, etc., Egyptian guava juice, Egyptian cookies, and Egyptian coffee similar to Turkish coffee. The staff and the atmosphere were also very nice as well. The only suggestion I have is that I think the artwork inside of the restaurant should be painted directly onto the wall like a mural, rather than using wallpaper. Otherwise, all else was great.

Authentic Egyptian food, lots of vegetarian options, truly a gem. My favorite Egyptian street food is Koshary comes with lentils, rice, pasta and a spicy tomato sauce, topped with chickpeas and caramelized onions with couple of different sauces. I also got some harissa sauce on the side. All in all a great place with nice ambiance. This location is about 18 miles from my place but will definitely go back. 100% recommended.

If you want value for your money, do NOT come here. What we saw on the TV show Signature Dish filmed at this location is NOT what we received. I ordered the 'signature dish' here, the lamb shank with "meat falling off the bone." The only problem is, most of the meat fell off the bone back in the kitchen. My husband had the lamb chops, which was 3 lamb chops from what must have been a miniature lamb, because his chops were very small for sure. No refills whatsoever on our waters. I was charged $3 for a little bit of hot sauce. The restrooms were absolutely nasty with sticky floors and stink. Oh, and best of all, you must pay before you get your food, and now I know why. We were very, very, very, disappointed in this place.

The food is amazing and the size is good. The servers were professional. The Hen was seasoned perfectly and the Lamb was great. No doubt it was the best hummus I had so far.Food: 5/5

I've known this beautiful place for years but never had the chance to try it. It was absolutely amazing!! The place is really welcoming, the owner did a great job representing her egyptian culture, you can feel it from the first step in the restaurant. But the decor isn't everything, the food was beyond my expectations. We had a premium breakfast that has everything, and we didn't regret it, it was delicious, well presented and most importantly everything is house made !! I highly recommend it for anyone who's looking to enjoy a delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner or even a cup of egyptian coffee with friends or family !! Incredible food with great flavors. The service is incredibly hospitable and it felt like I walked into someone's home. I highly recommend the grill platter for 31 bucks. It feeds 2 and has great variety and bang for your buck. My girlfriend and I have come here twice and it has yet to disappoint. It will definitely become a staple on our going out routine.

Love this place!!! Everything is so tasty!! You must get the Eat Like An Egyptian platter to have a chance to try many of the options. Great service too -- Sam is such an attentive waiter and so kind. I can never give Fava Pot enough stars! The food feels authentic and the atmosphere is happy and calm. The staff are all friendly. My go to meal is the Egyptian Style Liver and Koshary Bowl with the Mint Limonade. This is the best Egyptian restaurant in the USA. Every time I visit this area, I come directly to this place. I love it. Their food is very delicious. And the staff are beyond great and friendly. The last time, I came all the way from the IAD airport to the restaurant.
