I have to be honest the food is not as good as it use to be or perhaps my pallet just has matured due to now going to many fine dining seafood restaurants. I grew up coming here with my parents and family, but had not been in a few years so not quite sure what's changed. I will continue to support though because I know it is a long running family owned establishment. These scallops were cooked well, but extremely bland; as much as I love seafood I enjoyed the veggies and potatoes more! I did enjoy the fried lobster tail appetizier. The calamari my daughter had was good per usual.
The place is clean inside and out. Well organized with convenient parking. The atmosphere is very friendly and a good split between family casual and fine dining. The staff was friendly and prompt. The surf & turf was prepared and presented above my expectations. Features: Best practices being used.
Every Friday, oysters are $1.00. 3 types of hot sauces: Peach hot sauce, cayenne hot sauce & garlic hot sauce. Now the crabs...wowwwwww...seasoned to perfection w/they awesome butter. Will always visit!!!
A quaint place, with OK food at best. I ordered the Surf& Turf @ MP. Stuffed mushrooms. An my partner order the crab soup and broiled scallops. Our food was very bland. An A+ for Service.Food: 3/5
Walking into the establishment I should have prob turned around and went somewhere else. An older man walking into the place saw me coming in the door after him and purposely let the door close in my face. This happened twice. Not the restaurants fault but set a tone. Sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender. I needed a moment to look at the menu and she gave me ample time. Wine list is very basic. All the Chardonnay btg is Oaked and from Cali no real variety when it comes to the btg catagories. Being as it’s a seafood establishment I wouldn’t think it’s too much to ask to have a petite Chablis, a Sancerre, an Albariño , or an interesting white wine btg. I ordered the Albariño they have by the bottle. The wait staff looked around for the bottle for quite some time. The bartender came to me to tell me it’s by the bottle only. I knew that before ordering it but I guess she didn’t. They finally find the bottle and a guy who wasn’t the bartender was given the task of opening it. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever had to watch. He mentioned they trained him on how to properly open the bottle but he was going to do it his way because his way was easier. He struggled to cut the foil.once the foil was cut instead of turning the corkscrew to open the bottle he turned the bottle while the bottle sat atop the bar. Worst presentation I’ve ever witnessed. Oysters on the half shell were delicious! Ordered sea bass with two sides and I’ve literally never saw a smaller portion of sea bass. I get it’s a tough call with inflation and everything costing more. Maybe offer two portion sizes? I would have Gladly payed more for a bigger portion. Ordered the orange ginger glaze to go with it and the glaze was nearly tasteless. None the less the sea bass tasted very fresh and the old bay fried and vegetable medley all were very flavorful. Finished my glass of wine and the bartender never refilled the glass . I had to do it myself as she watched me pour my own wine. She asked “are you still doing okay” just as I finished pouring a glass. Im going to give them a pass right now on service because good help is extremely hard to come by but my experience was less than average and I more than likely will never be back. Only walked over from the Mercedes dealership because I was having my car serviced. Best part about my experience was a guy who was sitting at the bar smiling at me and telling me to have a good day as he walked out of the establishment.
It wasn't what my expectations were looking forward to. The crabs legs were dry as it they recooked them. They fried seafood combo was okay. I won't go back there again‼The rolls were hot and good.
When we arrived we were given a warm greeting by the host. He sat us upstairs where there was ample room for large parties. We were only a party of 2, but a larger table was helpful for all-you-can-eat crab legs. While I enjoyed crabs, my husband had the filet. My only regret was that I didn't ask the server to bring the crabs ahead of my husband's dinner as he finished eating before me, so he sat waiting for me. The service was a little slow, but it might have been due to being upstairs vs the main floor. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't return however. Feby's is a genuine seafood restaurant that serves delicious food.
They have fresh seafood but I love the all-you-can-eat Dungeness crabs, our plates were never empty of crabs they kept them coming till I yelled when! Service was GREAT as always. my wife had a fried seafood platter and my sister had lamb all was perfect. Good value restaurant,
Outstanding fresh seafood, variety and preparation options. They'll make your selection pretty much however you want it. Good service, not intrusive yet attentive. Ambiance is old beach homey, comfortable like an old friend...Food: 5/5
