I cannot say enough about Earnest Ndifang, the Manager at Ferguson Supply in Silver Spring. My Dad’s Expansion Tank was leaking and it needed to be replaced ASAP. It’s Friday afternoon at 3:45 - Ferguson closes at 4:00… I’m on 495 in heavy traffic. I called the shop and explained to the gentleman who answered the phone the situation. He assured me that I needed to drive safely and that he would wait for my arrival! How grateful I was to receive his kindness and understanding. I arrived at 4:03 and there I had the pleasure of meeting Earnest, the gentleman who made this purchase possible! Thank you Earnest for waiting for me that day. My father sends his gratitude, too. Huge disappointment. I had been waiting three weeks to find a time when my schedule would align with when the store was open. I needed a beveled faucet washer, the smallest container of plumber putty - 14 oz size, and a washer for the inside of my American Standard toilet. I asked William G for assistance in finding the washer, he directed me a case of assorted washers by Lincoln Products. He said it was the only beveled washers in the store. I found the plumber putty and washer. When we got to the counter, he told me the washer container with 160 pieces, was not returnable and was $37. For all three, he tried to charge me $74. I asked him if that was the female rate, given I could get plumber putty for $2 in Home Depot and a washer for no more than $5. He tried to convince me that I was getting the "preferred plumber" rate. joke, we all know that I told him to keep the putty and washer. I was desperate for the washer so I purchased the over-priced package of 160 washers and screws. Needless to say, this place insulted my intelligence on pricing and seems to have a history of over charging clients based on other reviews. The selection was not even that vast. I will NEVER shop at Ferguson again and will share with the contractors who referred me to Ferguson how the sales associate attempted to rip me off so they will find a vendor with greater integrity.

One guy at the register couldn't put his phone away to serve the customers. Very bad attitude from him first register next to the door

All your needs from homeowner to pro. All-star staff. If you go anywhere else you've f@%$&d up and made a bad choice. But its ok just Remember this aint homedepot these guys are pros and will treat you like family !!!

Went in for replacement parts and the salesman didn't have in stock what I needed. Directed me to the DC location and was apologetic about not having what I needed but was very helpful and nice.

The guys at the counter are always pleasant and helpful. This is a smaller branch, so some things may not always be in stock here.

Charged me $50 for a $26 part Amazon price but I needed it today.
