I Googled Dr. Grapin to get her phone number and came across these reviews. I couldn't believe she had any negative reviews so I felt compelled to add my review related to my experiences. I have been a patient of Dr. Grapin's for more years than I can remember - long before she started out on her own practice. I could have remained with her former large, established practice and become a patient of one of her former colleagues. I didn't because I had every confidence in her. I too, suffered migraines while on birth control pills back in the day but was unwilling to give them up. Dr. Grapin worked with me on changing formulas and other strategies to help alleviate this particular, potential migraine trigger connection. I have a few other gynecological issues that she has treated me for and guided me in some decisions I had to make related to management and treatment. She'll be the first to admit that neither she nor the science community have all the answers but it is obvious that she keeps up with new breakthroughs in knowledge and treatments for my particular ailments. Dr. Grapin is down-to-Earth, friendly, smart, and caring. She will take the time to answer all my questions no matter how many times I ask the same ones. These are the characteristics I look for in a healthcare provider. In my experience, I have only received friendly, professional service from her staff during my many years of interaction. I have found with other healthcare professionals that by scheduling my appointments first thing in the morning, the staff is fresh and not rushed because they are behind schedule.
I've been seeing Dr. Grapin for 2 years now. As a medical provider myself, I put my trust in practitioners who practice evidence based medicine makes medical decisions based on current research. Dr. Grapin is a great example of a physician who stays on top of current research. She also practices with years of experience behind her. She is professional and very knowledgeable. I recommend her to my friends and to my patients. I've always found her staff members to be extremely efficient and professional. I appreciate that they are always trying to run on time and that they get lab results back very fast. This is a great physician and practice as a whole.
I always have a pleasant experience with Dr. Grapin. I don't have to wait forever to get an appointment, waiting times are very short, all the staff is nice and Dr. Grapin is very friendly and knows well what she's doing. I've been under her care for 5 years and I'm not planning to change her.
I have been seeing Dr. Grapin for about 30 years and have been extremely pleased. I began seeing her when she was part of a large office with many OBGYNs. I started seeing her before I became pregnant. She delivered my daughter 26 years ago and has always given me the best advice and care. I feel very well cared for. Dr. Grapin is terrific and I highly recommend her.
In addition to what the last reviewer said I have these thoughts to add: How much time do you have to read my thoughts? Allow me to first summarize them in a few words - STAY AWAY!!! Now allow me to list my issues with her practice: 1 I suffer from migraines with auras and should not be on birth control with hormones- after having seen a string of neurologists I was told that my birth control contributed to the frequency of my migraines and put me in a high stroke bracket. They asked why my gynecologist knowingly had me on this. I called her office and was told I had to make an appointment to raise the issue with her. When I went in they STILL got it wrong. Second, I scheduled an IUD appointment after figuring out for myself which birth control to be on. I was told to take misoprostol before the appointment. I just happened to google the medicine the day before my appointment and learned that nobody is prescribing that anymore and that it is actually detrimental to your health. That was the last straw, and I will never be going back to that office EVER again. 2 The rudeness of the staff will blow you away, the nurses are simply horrid to talk to on the phone and treat you like dirt when you are in the office. If you ever happen to need a question answered via phone they tell you that they can't answer it. When you ask to speak to the doctor they tell you that Dr. Grapin never talks to patients. 3 The office itself is constantly under some sort of construction. Last time I was in I had to sit in an overcrowded office used for storage while painters working on the exterior stared in at me during a gynecological consultation.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Grapin since she took over the practice over 10 years and have always had a positive experience. The staff is professional and Dr. Grapin always takes the time to answer any questions or address concerns.
If I could give no stars I would have. The front desk/ lab tech are very rude, I can understand why the poor doctor has no Patients. I gave this office 2 trys and I will be finding another OBGYN. Being an office manger for a primary care doctor I understand how VERY IMPORTANT it is to be kind and Polite but when you can laugh and joke about a patient that is totally rude and uncalled for. If this would have been the 10 yrs younger me they would have been calling the police cause it would have been a fight. Hopefully the doctor takes control of her office or she wont have an office to come to. Good Luck if you chose to go there.
Dr Grapin emotionally abused my wife this morning. She was not allowed to have her spouse in the room, claimed her Bartholin cysts were not a problem without a full physical exam, and questioned intelligence and accuracy as it related to her long medical history. She was clearly out of her league when mentioning more complex pelvic issues and even the size of a Word catheter. Stay as far away from here as you possibly can.
Dr Grapin was awesome. I had questions for her about a recent diagnosis I'd received and she was super helpful and warm. I'm very glad to have found her.
The front desk is very unkind. The nurse is okay. They are also horrible at drawing blood. Stay very far away. Dr. Grapin treated my sister horribly.
