I've been coming to Fierce Fitness for about 6 months now, and it's by far the best group workout I've tried! The classes are hard, but accessible, especially for someone new to kickboxing. And the coaches are super friendly, helpful, and motivational. The workout varies from class-to-class, which keeps things interesting, but we also always work on fundamentals. All in all, I absolutely recommend joining
My teenage daughter and I have been taking kickboxing classes together at Fierce for about 6 months now and it is the best. It was a little outside our comfort zone to start with, being used to pilates me and cheer her but Wendy and Sasha are both incredible teachers who are caring and patient. The classes are pretty fast paced but working at your own level is easy to do and once we got the hang of the basics it quickly became a favorite part of our week. Good bonding and great workout. So worth leaving our comfort zones!
I love the environment at Fierce Fitness! The owner, Wendy is super welcoming and helps me with my technique. Not only are the classes a good workout, but they are also fun and allow me to meet new people in the community! Everyone in the class is so kind and supportive of one another. Love Fierce Fitness!!
I love this gym! I used to train here before the pandemic, and I'm so excited to finally be back. Although it is under new ownership, Wendy has maintained the high energy and supportive atmosphere that I came to love. I highly encourage you to check out this gym if you want to feel welcomed and supported while achieving an incredible workout.
Wendy is incredibly nice and made me feel comfortable as a beginner to the class. This class will challenge you, but you’ll leave with a smile on your face. If you’ve ever been curious about kickboxing, but have been too shy to try it, DO IT! Everyone is so kind and supportive, people of all fitness levels and from all walks of life come here. Cannot stress enough how awesome my experience has been here so far.
I love kickboxing at Fierce Fitness! The classes are the perfect amount of time and have a great variety of exercises. I also feel so much stronger than when I started! I would definitely recommend that anyone should try a class or two—you won’t be disappointed!
I had an incredible first experience, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The positive atmosphere, combined with a wonderful facility made me feel like I found a great place to workout. This place is accommodating to anyone of any fitness level. Wendy, the owner, was so helpful and kind. I also must add the pricing is very affordable and flexible in terms of membership options, I didn't even have to think about it. This was the best possible first impression!
I’m writing this review after taking 10 classes here. I joined the gym to work out and sweat. I believe Kickboxing is a sport that’s healthy for us both physically and mentally. As you are punching the bag you got to relieve so much stress and negative energies. After 10 classes, I’m proud to announce that I’m not only healthier, stronger, and happier, I’m also so much better at kickboxing. I’ve been to a good number of kickboxing places all over the country, but I’ve never met a coach as good as Wendy. She always gives you personal attention and makes the best adjustments. Whether you are new or experienced in kickboxing, you will enjoy this place. If you are new, I highly recommend taking 1-2 private lessons with Wendy. The private lessons helped me tremendously because I never had good coaches and have been doing many things wrong. Also, the location of this place is amazing, right next to Bridgeport Village!
Had a great time! Wendy is encouraging and fun. I’m brand new to kickboxing and she made time to help me so I was learning proper form. Will be taking more classes in the future!
TLDR: Come here for a great workout, and an even better workout environment with fantastic coaches who switch things up every class and seriously know their stuff. DO NOT HESITATE TO SIGN UP. Do you have a New Year's goal to try something new? Do you want to have fun, get sweaty, and let out stress all at once? Want to feel like a bad*** and get a GREAT workout? Then come here! Do not hesitate. Wendy the owner and head coach, Sasha, and Hilary are all FANTASTIC and you will not regret your decision. Whether you are a seasoned kickboxing pro, an "I tried this in college once" kind of person, or have never ever done kickboxing before, there is a place here for you. The classes are fun, high energy, and a good workout, but it's the people that make the place. The coaches know their stuff and will teach you things you never thought you could do, and your fellow classmates are there for moral support. I had never done kickboxing before coming to Fierce, I was a complete beginner, but from the start I knew that that was not an issue, even though I was in a class with people who had been doing it for a while. Sure, the first class I was a little lost and thought this was really hard, but the directions were clear and concise, the workout got my heart beating and my sweat on, and after a class or two I started to recognize the names of the moves. And what new workout isn't a little confusing and hard at first?! That's the point! Now I come every week, 2-3 times a week. It's the best therapy one can get! So stop reading this and sign up now!
